Producer of Vivica A. Fox’s male stripper reality show cuts ties after her homophobic remarks

The fallout from Vivica A. Fox’s homophobic remarks made last week continues.

As you may recall, Ms. Fox caused a bit of a stir when she went on a morning radio program to promote her new reality series Black Magic. The show follows her around as she prepares to launch an all-male stripper revue in Las Vegas. During last week’s interview, Vivica was asked if gay men were allowed to attend the show, to which she replied, “Aw, hell no. Back all that up. No! NO!

Well, it appears the ’90s-B-lister-turned-reality-TV-hack has angered the one person she really, really needs to keep happy if she wants to keep collecting her paychecks: the director and producer of the very show she was trying to promote when she went on her homophobic sidebar.

Jean-Claude LaMarre first worked with Vivica when he cast her in his 2015 male stripper comedy Chocolate City, and again in the upcoming sequel Chocolate City: Vegas. After the success of those projects, they decided to create a TV spin-off, which is how Black Magic came into fruition.

Now, Jean-Claude says he’s through with Vivica A.

“The comments were out of order, and it does not represent our attitudes toward the LGBT community,” he tells TMZ. “All are welcomed. Vivica speaks for herself not the business or the show.”

LaMarre will continue as Executive Producer on the reality show, saying he genuinely wants to see Black Magic succeed, but he’s absolutely not interested in working with Vivica anymore.

Sounds like that’s about to become a pretty awkward workplace.

Janelle Monae Denounces Kim Burrell, Anti-Gay Hate at Golden Globes: ‘We All Bleed the Same Color’

Janelle Monae

Janelle Monae, star of the new film Hidden Figures, was asked about the controversy surrounding homophobic gospel singer Kim Burrell, who appears on the film’s soundtrack and called gay people “perverted sinners” in a sermon published on YouTube two weeks ago.

Monae handled the question beautifully:

“I’m pro-love. I’ve been very supportive of love. At the end of the day, I think that no matter where you come from and who you love, you deserve to have a right to the American dream and to also have your story told. And so I’m so thankful to be part of this true American story. I’m thankful to be part of a cast and a director who is pro-inclusion. I just think anybody who is representing hate is a part of the problem, and I hope that we can learn from each other and be more empathetic of one another. And I hope that we can all remember, at the end of the day, we all bleed the same color.”

Hidden Figures tells the story of three African-American women who were crucial figures behind-the-scenes at NASA during the space race in the late ’60s. It stars Monae, Taraji P Henson, and Octavia Spencer.

It’s the second time Monae has spoken publicly about Burrell. She wrote a lengthy Instagram post last week blasting the singer, who was axed from a recent Ellen show for her remarks.

Colby Kellers’s mom wanted to shoot him (and herself) after he came out

Colby Kellers’s mom wanted to shoot him (and herself) after he came out

Adult film star Colby Keller went ahead and made Nico Tortorella cry during the most recent episode of the actor/model’s podcast The Love Bomb.

Things started to get personal when Keller shared a story about how his parents reacted to the fact that he was gay when he was 15-years-old.

Keller, who’s the youngest of four kids, kept a stash of gay adult meterial hidden under the bathroom sink and his mother found it one day.

The box mysteriously vanished, and his parents told him after school one day that they needed to have a talk.

That convo wound up happening with Keller on one side of his locked bedroom door, and his parents on another.

“It was a real revelation,” Keller says of the incident.

“My father … he was really supportive. He was crying. He was doing everything he could in the language that he possessed to try and comfort me and make it okay for me.”

His mother was a different story:

This great, upstanding Christian woman, she’s angry. She’s trying to read the Bible which I’m like, “No, we’re not going to do this.”

She tells me, “I wish I had a gun so I could kill you and then blow my own brains out all over this sofa.

It was a statement that forever changed their relationship.

“I love my mother and she really is a beautiful human being,” says Keller, “but I stopped calling her ‘mother’ after that.”

“To this day I really don’t call her mother because of that incident.”

A tongue-tied Tortorella, clearly at a loss, finally says, “Whew! This is the part where we cry.”

Football Players Could Come Out as Gay Together (Because, Safety in Numbers) Says FA Sports Chief: VIDEO

Football Players Could Come Out as Gay Together (Because, Safety in Numbers) Says FA Sports Chief: VIDEO

Thomas Hitzlsperger

England’s Football Association (FA) chairman Greg Clarke has said he has spoken to gay players and he hopes several players might come out at the same time so that the media would not focus on one person.

Clarke added that that Gareth Southgate’s successor as England manager could be drawn from the black, Asian and minority ethnic community.

In an interview with the Times, he said:

“I put the message out there that if a number of top-level pros want to come out, why don’t we synchronise it? The Premier League, Football League and the FA could do it at the start of the season. At the start of the season, the crowds are happy, the sun is shining. I was asked if football is ready for top-level pros to come out and I said I’m not sure we were. There was a survey which said people would support gay people in their own team, but I’m worried about what they said about gay people in the other team.

Clark also offered the FA’s support to any players who chose to come out. “I’ve been asking the gay community, ‘How can we provide more support and orchestrate it so people get the right level of support?’” he added. “I’ve met 15 gay sports people in the last four weeks to ask their views, including footballers.”

Former Germany and Aston Villa player Thomas Hitzlsperger (above) became the first player with Premier League experience to come out, in January 2014, after he had finished playing in England.

Last October, a BBC study found that although 82% of supporters would have no issue with their club having a gay player, 8% of fans said they would stop watching their team.

Kellyanne Conway Accuses Meryl Streep of ‘Inciting People’s Worst Instincts’ for Criticizing Trump – WATCH

Trump flunky Kellyanne Conway hit FOX & Friends and CNN’s New Day to strike back at Meryl Streep for her truth-telling on the Golden Globes and tried to deflect Donald Trump’s bullying and unpresidential behavior by bringing up the four people in Chicago who were arrested last week for torturing a special needs teen and streaming it on Facebook Live.

On FOX & Friends, Conway claimed that Streep, not Trump, is the one “inciting people’s worst instincts” for daring to criticize him.

Said Streep at the Globes:

There was one performance this year that stunned me. It sank its hooks in my heart. Not because it was good. There was nothing good about it. But it was effective and it did its job. It made its intended audience laugh and show their teeth. It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter, someone he outranked in privilege, power, and the capacity to fight back. It kind of broke my heart when I saw it. I still can’t get it out of my head because it wasn’t in a movie. It was real life.

And this instinct to humiliate, when it’s modeled by someone in the public platform, by someone powerful, it filters down into everybody’s life, because it kind of gives permission for other people to do the same thing. Disrespect invites disrespect. Violence incites violence. When the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose.

Said Conway to FOX & Friends: “I’d like to hear from her today if she wants to come and continue her platform on behalf of the disabled.”

Added Conway: “She sounds like 2014. The election is over. She lost…Everybody in that audience, with very few exceptions, was of a single, myopic mind as to how they wanted the election to go and how they expected the election to go. They lost and I really wish she would have stood up last night and said ‘look, I didn’t like the election results, but he’s our president and we’re going to support him.’ But this is Hollywood.”
