Hillary Clinton is considering running for Mayor of New York City, challenging Bill de Blasio, whose term ends at the end of the year, the NY Daily News reports:

Hillary Clinton left open the possibility of running for mayor of New York City this year in a private conversation with a top Democrat, a well-placed source told the Daily News.

Clinton, who is being pressed by many New York Dems to get back into the game by running for mayor, did not rule out challenging current City Hall occupant Mayor de Blasio in that conversation, the source said.

The Dem primary is in nine months. Candidates must live in one of NYC’s five boroughs by election day.

Three football players admit to hazing younger player in horrific “No Gay Thursday” attack

Three football players at a Pennsylvania high school have admitted to and will stand trail for hazing another player in the locker room.

The unsettling incident happened at Conestoga High School in Berwyn back in October 2015. The three players, who were all 17 years old at the time, sodomized a younger teammate, who has been described as an “outcast,” with a broomstick.

According to reports, the teenagers demanded that the younger player clean the locker room in his underwear as part of a hazing ritual. When he refused and tried to leave, one of the older players told his two friends to “stick a broom up his ass.”

Two of the players held the younger player down as the third began poking him between the legs. They were also accused of putting their genitals on the victim’s head.

The incident occurred on what is known among students as “No Gay Thursday,” when older players allegedly do “gay” things to younger players as a form of team initiation.

“This is a simple case about ignorance, violence and a shocking lack of supervision,” Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan says. “All this happened under the noses of the coaches because they were not there to supervise these students and let this happen by not paying attention.”

The Chester County District Attorney’s office and defense attorneys for the three football players released a joint statement this week saying the youths “have accepted responsibility for their conduct. They have made an admission to the criminal summary offense of harassment.”

A trial has been scheduled to begin next Tuesday, although parties said, “all the records are sealed and the parties will not be making any further public comment.”

NYPD Investigating Hate Mail, Substance Sent to Gay Couple Who Confronted Ivanka Trump on JetBlue Flight

The NYPD is investigating several pieces of hate mail, one containing a “suspicious substance,” sent to a gay man who confronted Ivanka Trump last week aboard a JetBlue flight.

Hunter College professor Matthew Lasner and his husband Dan Goldstein were kicked off a JetBlue flight at JFK after Goldstein verbally confronting Ivanka Trump (she was flying with husband Jared Kushner, their cousins, and their three kids).

The NY Daily News reports that the couple has been “vilified” ever since the incident and has received hate mail that the NYPD is investigating:

The letters contained “various disparaging remarks regarding homosexuals,” an NYPD spokeswoman said.

At least one of the letters had a suspicious substance in it, which was tested and deemed not harmful, officials said.

Police are trying to find who sent the letters. The case is being considered a bias crime.

Lasner’s employment is also the subject of a petition:

As of Thursday, more than 61,000 people have signed a Change.org petition to have Lasner removed from Hunter College.

“Matt Lasner’s conduct is a direct representation of Hunter College,” wrote Brenden Bradley, who created the petition. “We believe his immature and cruel harassment of Ivanka Trump and her family at JFK airport should be met with disciplinary action.”

National Geographic gives a behind-the-scenes look at gender confirmation surgery

National Geographic is exploring what it means to grow up transgender, with a documentary called Gender Revolution, which premiers Feb. 8. It also recently put a transgender girl, Avery Jackson, on the cover, believed to be the first time in the publication’s history.

In a nearly nine-minute clip recently published online, National Geographic follows Emmie Smith, 17, and her family as she prepares for, undergoes, and recovers from gender confirmation surgery. Smith came out as transgender to friends and family via a Facebook post a year and a half prior to getting the surgery, in August of last year.

National Geographic writes:

Though she hadn’t initially considered surgery, after a couple of months Emmie had grown frustrated by the tucking and taping required to fit into women’s clothes. That fall, her senior year of high school, she decided to do it.

But waking up after the operation, Emmie felt none of the immediate relief she’d expected. In the recovery room her earbuds played a soothing loop of Bon Iver and Simon and Garfunkel, but it didn’t drown out her disappointment and fear. In retrospect, she thought, hadn’t life before been OK?

It wasn’t until months later, when she was home and could walk and sit again, that Emmie knew she’d made the right choice. “If you’re not living freely that’s time wasted, and I felt my time was wasted pretending to be a boy,” she says. “It was the best decision in my life.”

She comes from a religious family, her mother, Reverend Kate Malin, preaches at a church in their Massachusetts town. A month after Emmie came out, Malin announced the news to the congregation.

“I feel broken much of the time,” she confessed. “I’ve wanted to run away, and I’ve prayed for this child that I would gladly die for, guilty for how much I miss the person I thought was Walker [Emmie’s former name] and everything I thought might be.”

The members of the church showed support right away. She also appears to have the support of her family.

Commenting on the notoriety that might come her way as a result of this media attention she had this to say:

It’s strange, she says, knowing that her future classmates may watch Johnson’s film and learn the most intimate details of her life. She’s hopeful that her participation will evolve the public’s understanding of gender reassignment surgery. “It’s not science fiction or mythology,” Emmie says. “It’s what happens to women just trying to be at peace with themselves and their bodies.”

UK ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Viewers Flip Over Stacy Francis’ Thoughts About ‘Gay Boy’ Austin Armacost: WATCH

In the latest UK Celebrity Big Brother series which started on Tuesday evening, former X Factor star Stacy Francis (right, with James Jordan) raised people’s fragile hackles by referring to American reality TV star Austin Armacost (above, via Instagram) as “gay boy” and expressing concern that a straight man would sleep in the same bed with him.

Show producers have since warned Francis after her comments led to shocked reactions from all-singing all-dancing 70s girl band legend Coleen Nolan and UK reality tv regular Jordan.

The Daily Mail reports:

While the group of housemates were enjoying a cigarette, talk turned to the sleeping arrangements, as singer and one-time sex tape star Ray J had slept through the decision making process.

After stating that he did not want to sleep in a bed with Brandon Block, Stacy appeared stunned that he would shun sharing a bed with the DJ but accept sharing with openly gay Austin.

She said: ‘He would sleep with the gay boy!? Isn’t Austin gay?’ before a stunned James Jordan stated: ‘I’m straight… He’s gay. That wouldn’t bother me.’

It seems Stacy was quick to retract her statement following Coleen and James’ reaction as she was quick to hit back: ‘I know! I’m being sarcastic. Everyone’s so serious!’

In a statement, producers said: “As part of standard procedures, Big Brother often reminds housemates that language in the house can raise concerns and this was discussed with Stacy.”
