16 Women Show The Beauty In Body Modification
16 Women Show The Beauty In Body Modification
Body modification includes anything from piercings and tattoos all the way to surgical augmentations such as implants and injections. Photographer Roger Kisby recently captured some of the many women who proudly sport their bold and downright stunning body modifications.
Kisby just happened to be walking in Las Vegas on June 7 when he stumbled upon the Association of Professional Piercers Conference and Exposition. Though Kisby told The Huffington Post he himself doesn’t have any tattoos or piercings, he said he was drawn to the opportunity to highlight the beauty in everyone’s differences.
Kisby said he wandered around the convention asking people if he could take their pictures. “People were just really open to getting their photograph taken,” he told HuffPost. Many of the people Kisby spoke with at the convention worked in the body modification field at different tattoo and piercing parlors.
“I always like it when people are not afraid to be who they are,” Kisby said. “And especially when those people come together who individually out there in the real world have to deal with prejudices, it’s really heartwarming and nice to see people be able to celebrate themselves all together.”
Kisby tried to highlight a broad range of people who have piercings, tattoos and other types of body modification in order to show that “there’s no one type or style of person” at the conference. “I wanted to make sure that I could show each person in their own authentic way,” he said.
“The point of this project was not to point and say, ‘Look at these people, look at how weird they look,'” Kisby told Refinery29. “It was to show the range of people that practice piercing or do it for a living or are enthusiasts.”
Below are 16 images of women and their beautiful, colorful and creative types of body modification.

Gay Dads Get Asked A Lot of Ridiculous Questions: VIDEO
Gay Dads Get Asked A Lot of Ridiculous Questions: VIDEO
Just in time for Father’s Day comes a new video from the website Gays With Kids that sheds light on all the questions (some ridiculous, some offensive) that gay dads often get asked by strangers. Things People Ask Gay Dads highlights a handful of some of the funnier examples, such as, “Your sperm? His sperm? How does that work?”, and “Who does the mommy stuff?”
Brian Rosenberg, a co-founder of Gays With Kids, spoke with OUT about the motivation behind creating the video:
“Our aim was to create content gay dads would enjoy that would also serve to inform and inspire others,” says Brian Rosenberg, co-founder of Gays With Kids, a website that helps gay dads navigate fatherhood from creating families to raising them. “Gay fathers share all the universal truths and challenges of parenting that are experienced by dads and parents everywhere, but we also face many that are uniquely our own, like dealing with homophobia, guiding daughters through puberty, and coming out. We have also traveled many different paths in order to become dads. In celebration of Father’s Day, we’re exploring these issues and more in the videos and e-book.”

To all the gay dads out there, what’s the most ridiculous question you’ve ever been asked?

See Robin Williams In The First Trailer For His Final Dramatic Film, 'Boulevard'
Robin Williams gave his final dramatic performance in indie movie “Boulevard.” The film, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last year, stars Williams as Nolan, a 60-year-old closeted man who’s been hiding from his true self all of his life. In the first trailer, we meet Nolan, who has been working at the same bank and married to the same woman for decades. But, finally, Nolan decides to explore who he really is.
“Boulevard” is one of four films Williams left behind after he died in August of 2014, including “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb ” and “A Merry Friggin’ Christmas,” both of which opened last year, and the comedy “Absolutely Anything,” in which Williams voiced a dog.
“Boulevard,” which also stars Bob Odenkirk, Kathy Baker and Roberto Aguire, opens in New York on July 10.

The Way Jim Parsons Met His Partner Is Unforgivably Cute And Makes Us Angry
The Way Jim Parsons Met His Partner Is Unforgivably Cute And Makes Us Angry
Brace yourself for the sudden onset of warm fuzzies (or the involuntary rolling of eyes into your skull, depending on your sensibilities.) During a recent taping of Inside the Actor’s Studio, The Big Bang Theory‘s Jim Parsons regaled James Lipton with the tale of how he met partner Todd Speiwak, the man he’s been dating since 2002.
To set the scene: it was a blind date at a karaoke bar.
“I hate karaoke,” Lipton crowed. “Oh my God do I hate — Tell them what song you sang.”
Dramatic pause.
“‘I Found Someone’,” Parsons responded.
In the face of such cuteness, all the rest of us can do is pick up the pieces and try to move on with our lives.

‘Uniquely Nasty’ Documents The U.S. Government’s War On Gays: WATCH
Uniquely Nasty, a new documentary from Yahoo’s Viewfinder series, will take an in-depth look at the US government’s systemic persecution of gays.
A recently released trailer for the film shows the long history of America’s war on its gay citizens, underscoring the life ruining effects that being exposed as gay had in the past. The story is told through the lens of one individual, Charles Francis, the former leader of a group of gay Republicans known as the Austin 12.
Yahoo’s chief investigative correspondent Michael Isikoff told OUT a little more about Francis and his journey to becoming an LGBT activist set on exposing the ‘war on gays’:
The film centers on Charles Francis, once a close friend of George W. Bush, who served as his emissary to the gay community in the 2000 campaign and then grew disillusioned in 2004 when the Bush re-election campaign used gay marriage as a wedge issue. It set Francis off on a mission to uncover “the deleted history” of the persecution of gays and lesbians by the U.S. government, and he has turned up some amazing documents about the FBI’s “sex deviates” program and other matters that we’ll be showing for the first time in the film.
Uniquely Nasty will air on Yahoo on June 22 and features narration from Matt Bomer and George Takei.
