Robert Jeffress: Gay Wedding Cake Wars Will Escalate Into Full-Fledged Holocaust Against Christians – VIDEO

Prominent opponents of same-sex marriage continue to go out with a bang.

Earlier we told you about a pledge signed by anti-LGBT leaders who claim they would go to jail in defiance of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in favor of nationwide marriage equality.

Among those who signed the pledge was the Rev. Robert Jeffress, senior pastor at First Baptist Church of Dallas.

Jeffress also recently made yet another appearance on Fox News, where host Sean Hannity responded to Bill Maher’s claim that Christians aren’t really being persecuted in America, according to Mediaite

Jeffress agreed with Hannity and said:

“It doesn’t rise to the level of having their head chopped off by ISIS in the Middle East, but it’s all the same attitude that allows for those attacks.

“I want to remind people that, you know, the Nazis weren’t able to take the Jews to the crematoriums immediately. The German people wouldn’t have allowed for it. Instead, the Nazis had to change public opinion. They marginalized the Jewish people, disparaged them, and make them objects of contempt.”

When even Hannity questioned whether Jeffress really believes that, the pastor responded:

“Absolutely, they are being marginalized right now, treated as objects of contempt by the media, and once that happens, then the taking away of further rights will be very easy.”

Watch, AFTER THE JUMP

The pro-LGBT Texas Freedom Network responded to Jeffress’ comments

Such statements aren’t just absurd. They’re also offensive to the memory of the millions of Jews and others who were slaughtered by the Nazis. Jeffress should be ashamed of himself.

Back in February, Jeffress said Christians being forced to bake gay wedding cakes was a sign of the Antichrist. Another sign? President Barack Obama

Five Things To Know About Ariana Grande Before Her NYC Pride Performance

Five Things To Know About Ariana Grande Before Her NYC Pride Performance

ariana-306-1400767792When it comes to pop music superstardom, no other artist is riding a bigger wave right now than Ariana Grande, whose sophomore album, My Everything, gave her two second consecutive number one albums in the U.S. featuring five Billboard Top 20 singles.

The Honeymoon Tour will make a stop in New York City on Sunday, June 28. Following in the stilettos of Cher, Janet Jackson and the late Whitney Houston, Grande is the headline entertainer at NYC Pride’s Dance on the Pier, which closes out Pride week.

Before you head out to celebrate pride with Miss Grande, here are five fun facts you should know about her.

1. Broadway Baby

She might be a pop music diva, but Ariana’s career began in 2008 on Broadway in the musical 13. Even as a young teen, she showed an impressive vocal range as evidenced by this clip of her recording the show’s cast album.

2. Fierce LGBT Ally

Ariana is not afraid to clap back at the haters when they use homophobic slurs. As we reported last summer, Ariana did not hold back on an Instagram commenter who referred to her brother Frankie as “that homo.” Her response to the anonymous user was well-worded, clever and punctuated with some gay sass.

3. Happy Hippie Chicks

When Miley Cyrus launched her charity for homeless and LGBT youth called the Happy Hippie Foundation, she filmed a series of duets to bring awareness. Ariana joined her for one of those Backyard Sessions and together they delivered a rendition of the 1986 song “Don’t Dream It’s Over.” Singing and flirting while wearing onesies never looked so adorable.

4. Sisters Are Doin’ It For Themselves

Ariana believes in empowerment, and that “being ‘empowered’” is not the same as being a “bitch.’” An essay that recently appeared on all of her social media accounts addressed the double standard between men and women, and emphasized the importance of being looked at as an individual and not property. She even worked in a Gloria Steinem quote. You go, girl.

5. Drama Queen

Ariana’s first television gig was on the Nickelodeon series Victorious. She is set to return to TV screens later this year in a recurring role in Scream Queens. The show comes from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan, who are the creators of queer programming faves Glee and American Horror Story. Scream Queens will premiere this fall on FOX and also stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michelle, Niecy Nash, and some guy named Nick Jonas.

Tickets for Dance on the Pier: Dance 29 can be ordered here.

Brendan Jordan drag slang

As we’ve mentioned before, subcultures develop some pretty colorful slang unique to their lifestyles and drag queens are no different. Drag pixie and YouTube star Brendan Jordan hosted Davey Wavey and Raymond Braun to check their “drag-q” by quizzing them on a variety of drag terms like “beat”, “fishy”, and “rolaskatox”, with the loser of each round applying a new layer of bright lipstick.

You can play along and check your “drag-q” AFTER THE JUMP…

Guys Confess Their Struggles With Body Image. Anything Sound Familiar?

Guys Confess Their Struggles With Body Image. Anything Sound Familiar?

2962121828_4a8026d59b_bIt isn’t always easy to talk about body image. On the one had, we know we can’t live up to the impossibly high bar that’s put out constantly in mainstream media. It’s an ideal that for the vast majority of people is unattainable even if they had the time and resources to invest.

But on the other hand, we like what we like. And there’s certainly nothing wrong with feeling attracted to someone, even if they are of the glossy magazine variety. We’ve certainly posted more than a few underwear-clad models over the years.

We try to shoot for a happy medium, though. You can have your underwear models if that’s what you’re into, but what about guys with bellies, older foxes or bubble butts?

There are so many beautiful people out there that don’t fit neatly into a box.

We asked Whisper to look into what guys struggling with body image were saying.

Here’s what they found:

I'm a gay man who hasn't had sex in almost 8 years due to insecurities and issues with my body

I'm insecure about my body because I'm very skinny and pale. And being gay makes it worse because we're expected to be attractive.

I always felt confident about my body shape until I started seeing how the muscle gay guy is glorified in the community. I'm just a skinny guy hiding behind the crowd ????

Having a twink body type I feel like I've been doomed to be a bottom forever and that's not what I want.

Tired of getting rejected by men just because of my body, even by guys just as chubby as me. Gay men are worse than women. I'm working on my weight but they can't change their bad personalities

I'm gay, I don't have the picture perfect body, and I feel like gay guys a re so shallow. I deserve to be loved for more than just my body but I feel hopeless

I hate being self conscious about how I look. It seems like every gay guy is hotter than me and therefore out of my league.

I'm a gay guy and I hate when other guys tell me to shave my body just because they don't think I should be hairy. Everybody has a right to do what they want with their bodies.

Im gay and I don't like my body. That's the only reason I'm still in the closet.

Sometimes I feel like I'm not good enough cuz other gay guys don't like me just because I don't have a toned body or muscles

Being gay is hard, I hate the way my body looks, I am not skinny enough, I don't have abs ... It's got to the point to where I'm throwing up after I eat to avoid the pounds

Im Gay and can't get close to a guy because I'm so self conscious about my body, size, appearance etc. I feel like I'm expected to look like a 10 .. but I'm not

why does every gay guy I talk to seem interested until they see my body. it's not like I'm fat. isn't there any hot non judgemental gay guys out there?

I hate being fat, single and gay! No matter how much I workout and eat right my body doesn't change, gay guys don't like fat guys. So depressing.

I don't know what to do with my body. I'm skinny-fat now, but I could either be a twink or a lean guy. I really wish the gay community wasn't so shallow and superficial.

I'm scared to lose weight because I've found comfort in my body despite the fact that I hate it. Being gay and fat is harder than people realize.
