Former Staffer Who Accused Carl DeMaio Of Sexual Harassment Arrested
Todd Bosnich, a former staffer of 2014 GOP congressional candidate Carl DeMaio who accused the Republican of sexual harassment, was arrested Tuesday for assault, San Diego police Lt. Kevin Mayer told The San Diego Union-Tribune.

The San Diego Police Department told The Huffington Post that Bosnich got into an argument with his mother in the 14700 block of Caminito Vista Estrellado at 7 p.m. on Nov. 7. Police said Bosnich allegedly punched his mother, disabled her phone and threw a drinking glass at her.

Police confirmed Bosnich was taken into custody on Nov. 11 at 9:15 a.m. in the same location where the argument occurred. He was booked into jail for battery, disabling a telephone line, and assault with a deadly weapon.

NBC 7 reports:

Todd Bosnich is being processed at the San Diego Central Jail Tuesday for an undisclosed incident, according to the jail’s watch commander. He will be released soon after. Charges against him include assault on an officer, battery on a person and damage to property.

In an October 2014 interview with Politico, Bosnich confirmed he had made harassment claims against DeMaio, who was running to represent California’s 52nd District in the midterm elections. The AP reported on Nov. 8 DeMaio lost the race to Rep. Scott Peters (D).

DeMaio called the allegations of sexual harassment “completely untrue,” claiming they stemmed from allegations that Bosnich was a “prime suspect” in a break-in attempt at DeMaio’s campaign office earlier in the year.

A second former campaign staffer, Justin Harper, accused DeMaio of sexual harassment in early November.
