Donald Trump lashed out at Republicans on Friday morning, urging them to use the nuclear option of future legislation which would require a simple 51 vote majority rather than the 60 vote threshold.

Tweeted Trump: “If Republicans are going to pass great future legislation in the Senate, they must immediately go to a 51 vote majority, not senseless 60…”

Unfortunately, that’s what they tried to do last night and failed anyway. Last night’s vote on “skinny” repeal failed 51-49.

None of McConnell’s healthcare proposals have gotten 50 votes.
