Gay & Lesbian Info
I took this picture because the kiosk on the left says “Gay & Lesbian Info”, and I just found it to be such a contrast; so daring, to provide a space like that out in the open. As far as I understand it, Amsterdam is one of the most LGBT-friendly places in the world, whereas in many parts of North America, a kiosk like this would be surrounded by bigoted protestors or worse; bigoted AR-15-toting fascists. So it’s good to see that in Amsterdam, the attitude is more progressive.
