Darren Criss Asks Hedwig Fans Not To Spoil His Big Finish

Darren Criss Asks Hedwig Fans Not To Spoil His Big Finish

1.173280Darren Criss is the fifth performer to slip into Hedwig’s heels for the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, with the show’s original star and co-creator John Cameron Mitchell having just finished his extended run.

But despite the fact that Neil Patrick Harris, Andrew Rannells, Michael C. Hall and JCM have been putting on makeup not to mention turning on the 8-track since the production opened last year, Criss is concerned some overzealous fans might share a little too much of his performance on social media.

He recently tweeted:

My humble request for people seeing #HedwigOnBway is maybe not tweet what she ends up doing on stage- don’t wanna spoil it for everyone…

— Darren Criss (@DarrenCriss) April 29, 2015

… But definitely get folks to come see the show! I just think it’s more fun that way. Let’s promote w/out ruining the goods. Love ya all!

— Darren Criss (@DarrenCriss) April 29, 2015

In keeping with Darren’s wishes, we won’t say much more than that. Suffice to say audience members will be treated to seeing a bit more of Criss than they’re used to.

John Cameron Mitchell will be honored with a special Tony Award for his bewitching (not to mention hilarious) return to his character and show that have inspired so many since its late ’90s off-Broadway run and 2001 film. And count Darren among the inspired.

He also tweeted this salute to the show:

For those of you who think #HedwigOnBway will be your first Bway show, it won’t…

— Darren Criss (@DarrenCriss) April 29, 2015

… It’ll be your first Hedwig experience (and hopefully a great one you’ll come back to see!) THEN you can go see your first bway show…

— Darren Criss (@DarrenCriss) April 29, 2015

… What I’m saying is, she’s in a class of her own. #HedwigOnBway is its own wild animal and I hope it rips you up like one. Seeya there.

Mat Staver, the leader of listed anti-gay hate group Liberty Counsel has demanded that all Presidential candidates must sign a pledge vowing not to obey any Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage, reports Right Wing Watch.

Staver co-wrote the pledge which has since been signed by Rick Santorum, Mike Huckabee and 200 other anti-gay activists.

Appearing on Newsmax’s “American Forum” program last week, Staver said:

“We’re going to ask every presidential candidate — Republican and Democrat — to sign on to this pledge and it’s going to be very telling if they don’t.”

Tevin Johnson-Campion, Son Of Obergefell V. Hodges Plaintiffs, Calls Case's Oral Arguments 'Offensive'
Tevin Johnson-Campion’s family is committed to establishing marriage equality in their home state of Kentucky and across America, which is why his fathers are acting as plaintiffs in conjunction with the Obergefell V. Hodges federal lawsuit.

In a conversation with HuffPost Live on Wednesday, Johnson-Campion addressed the case’s oral arguments delivered in the Supreme Court on Tuesday, specifically the “offensive” claim from the opposing council that homes without a biological mother and father are less-than.

“I’ve been given a great life. My parents have always been there for me, and just for someone to sit there and say that we’re less deserving, I definitely feel like that’s offensive,” Johnson-Campion told host Josh Zepps. “We are all deserving of a loving home and two parents who love us very much, regardless of gender. My two dads have been great and to anyone who opposed that, I have to say to them: get to know us.”

Johnson-Campion says his family has “definitely been nervous” about how the case will play out, but he’s hopeful.

“It’s very nerve-racking, especially within the last few years of people saying, ‘Okay, you guys can get married,’ and then flip-flopping back around and saying, ‘Okay, we’ve appealed it,'” he recounted. “While we remain optimistic and while we hope for the best, you never know what’s going to happen.”

Straight West Hollywood Go-Go Boy Reveals All About Fluffing, Propositions And His Future Plans

Straight West Hollywood Go-Go Boy Reveals All About Fluffing, Propositions And His Future Plans

straight-go-go-boys-tk-body-image-1430153030Every night, Jeff Tetreault (pictured) oils himself up, fluffs his dick, slips on a cock ring, then hits the stage to swing his junk in front of West Hollywood club patrons.

“There are easily 50 straight go-go boys that you see working regularly,” Tetreault estimates during a new interview with Vice.

He knows because he’s one of them.

“So much of dancing is acting,” Tetreault says. “You really have to play it up. … One of the skills of dancing is that you have to learn how to reject someone but remain endearing at the same time, which is not easy to do.”

Tetreault’s says one of his greatest assets is his penis.

“I have a pretty good bulge and that’s kinda my M.O. when it comes to dancing,” he explains. “I always want to go out with a well-fluffed dick, I want to look the best I can, have the best bulge, and I want to earn money.”

“I use cock rings,” he continues. “A lot of guys will take Viagra. … I’ve seen one guy inject his dick with caverject, which is the stuff they use in porn to stay hard for three hours.”

As for being  propositioned for sex by club patrons, Tetreault says it happens pretty regularly.

“I routinely get offers to accompany people back home,” he says. “They’re called ‘privates,’ to do anything from cuddle with someone, masturbate for them, or let them blow me. The price range varies. I’ve been offered anywhere from $200 to $5,000, and I can’t bring myself to do it.”

Screen shot 2015-04-29 at 1.32.26 PMWhile he enjoys being “the center of attention,” there are certainly times when being a go-go boy isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

“I’ve been condescended to many times,” Tetreault explains. “I’m essentially a zoo animal and a piece of meat at work.”

He says he deals with everything from creeps lurking in the shadows taking photos and videos of him to people wanting to fondle his junk for $1.

“It’s usually the guy with the lone dollar bill that wants the most from you,” Tetreault says. “The people with money don’t make a big deal about making you dance for them, or treating you like a bear with a tiny hat on a ball.”

He continues: “I’ve had guys reach in my underwear and grab around in there, and they just leave a dollar in there and you just smile and you thank them. And I feel like such a piece of shit. Like, I basically just thanked you to grope me for a dollar. Those are the moments where I ask, ‘Who the fuck am I?’”

Despite all this, Tetreault says he’s “not ashamed” of his career.

“I see it as part of my journey,” he says. “It’s my job. It isn’t my identity. It got me my Playgirl magazine spread. I did a music video with Willam Belli and Courtney Act who are two famous drag queens. It has created an interesting narrative for myself and I feel like it’s because I’m open about it.”

We’re still a few days away from the premiere of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and there isn’t much fans can do now except wait and obsess over Marvel’s tantalizing teasers. If you’re anything like us, then you know just how agonizing it can be to binge on trailers and potentially spoil a movie’s plot before you ever get a chance to see it.

Thankfully the good folks over at Sesame Street have been cooking up an Avengers spoof of their own meant to satisfy that superhero craving we’ve all been struggling with.
