Siamese Spots, Queer Female Music Duo, Releases 'Banter'
Are you ready for this ground-breaking queer female music duo?

Siamese Spots hit the scene earlier this month with their debut track “Banter” — and we’re big fans.

The twosome is comprised of openly transgender artist Chase Marie, who has previously been featured on HuffPost Gay Voices, and Tahlia. The pair hails from the trenches of Oklahoma and cites bands such as Nine Inch Nails and Sleater Kinney and Garbage as influences.

The band is currently writing their debut record, which will be out sometime in 2015.

Check out the video for “Banter” above and visit Siamese Spots’ bandcamp page here.

Bollywood Actor Plans To Dispel Gay Rumors In Court By Producing “Intimate Photos” Of Him And Girlfriend

Bollywood Actor Plans To Dispel Gay Rumors In Court By Producing “Intimate Photos” Of Him And Girlfriend

Screen Shot 2015-01-05 at 10.24.38 AM“Ayesha has said so many things about me — that I am gay and that we did not have physical relations — and she has left me no choice but to take all these things to the public,” says Bollywood actor Sahil Khan in what has to be the strangest legal twist we can remember.

He’s speaking about Ayesha Shroff, his business partner and alleged lover, who has filed a case against Khan saying that he swindled her out of Rs 5 crore (roughly three quarters of a million U.S. dollars).

Upon initial allegations in November, Khan fired back that the two had been having an affair and that the money was spent by Shroff on Khan. Which makes for one hell of a sugar mama if you ask us.

Shroff, who is married to actor Jackie Shroff, fired back by saying that couldn’t possibly be true because Khan is gay.

Now Khan is demanding a special “in-camera” trial to present evidence of the affair in the form of “intimate” photos of the two.

Speaking to mid-day, Sahil Khan said, “Yes, my lawyer has requested the court to hold an in-camera trial to reveal the truth because there are some intimate pictures of me and Ayesha which we have to show to the court.”

For her part, Ayesha says, “He is trying to sidetrack the fact that he has cheated me and owes me money. There cannot be any personal pictures for the simple reason that there was never a personal relationship. I think his ex-wife was the best person to clarify that. I suggest you write a story on the truth as opposed to cooperating with his vile and disgusting lies.”

Guess we’ll all just have to wait and see about these “intimate photos.” And please, Ayesha, if you have any photos in your possession that prove Khan is gay, feel free to send them over to [email protected].

Gay Couple Fighting for Marriage in Mississippi Speaks Up Ahead of Crucial Hearing: VIDEO

Gay Couple Fighting for Marriage in Mississippi Speaks Up Ahead of Crucial Hearing: VIDEO

MS

This Friday, January 9, the 5th Circuit court in New Orleans will hear oral arguments in the appeal of the Mississippi ruling that struck down the gay marriage ban in that state on November 25.

The ruling was stayed pending appeal but goes before the federal appellate court this week along with cases from Texas and Louisiana.

USA Today did a lovely interview with plaintiffs Becky Bickett and Andrea Sanders in the couple’s home in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Bickett and Sanders applied for and were denied a marriage license from the state last March.

The paper reports:

Bickett and Sanders have it harder because of their economic circumstances. They were literally thrown together after Hurricane Katrina destroyed their parents’ Gulf Coast homes in Bay St. Louis in 2005. Their first home together was a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) trailer.

Now the couple owns a single-wide trailer on three acres north of the coast, but they are struggling financially. Bickett was laid off from her job as a geospatial analyst and is looking for full-time work. Sanders, with a degree in family relations and human development, is staying home with the toddlers.

They dream of having a big family, but without legalized gay marriage, Sanders isn’t considered to be Owen’s and Adrian’s mom. They cannot adopt or even be foster parents as a couple.

Watch the wonderful interview, AFTER THE JUMP

Frankie J. Alvarez Knows You Don't Like His Character On 'Looking'

Frankie J. Alvarez Knows You Don't Like His Character On 'Looking'
Frankie J. Alvarez knows you don’t like Agustin, the character he plays on Looking, HBO’s half-hour dramedy about a trio of San Francisco-based gay besties (Jonathan Groff, Murray Bartlett and Alvarez). While viewers focused their positive attention on the love triangle between Patrick (Groff), Kevin (Russell Tovey) and Richie (Raúl Castillo), much of their scorn was directed at Alvarez’s character, an often-misguided struggling artist. Alvarez understands why. During season one Agustin tricked his boyfriend Frank into having sex with a hooker, accused Patrick of slumming with Richie and generally caused everyone close to him no end of misery. It was almost cathartic to witness Frank give him his walking papers in the season one finale. But change might be in the air for Agustin. Season two (premiering on HBO January 11) will introduce an unexpected new love interest — a bear named Eddie (played by Mean Girl‘s Daniel Franzese) — who will presumably call him out on his sometimes aberrant behavior. Alvarez chatted with Queerty about why viewers are challenged by his character, shopping at sex stores with his costars and how the series will address HIV prevention.
