Vivica A. Fox doubles down, accuses people of trying to “steal her joy”

Vivica A. Fox has responded to our story about the comments she made on a morning radio show earlier today… by doubling down.

Just to recap: the D-lister was promoting her new reality show, Black Magic, which follows her around as she prepares to launch an exotic, all-male dance revue in Las Vegas, when she was asked whether gay men would be allowed in the audience.

“Aw, hell no,” Vivica was quick to reply. “Back all that up. No! NO!” She added that there was “no need” for gay men to be there because this was a ladies-only affair. “It’s called the ultimate girls night out for a reason,” she said.

Naturally, people didn’t respond well to the comments. But apparently, Vivica doesn’t give a damn. This afternoon she tweeted:

Thank u! It’s sad in our world today that u do an interview n folks will try to steal your joy! #VivicasBlackMagic #UltimateGurlsNiteOut ??? t.co/OGPCThnidU

Then she said “folks” (we can only assume she means “gay folks”) were blowing things out of proportion:

Much love back at cha! Folks taking an answer to question and blowing it out of proportion! Have a blessed day ??? t.co/jHEhstBaAa

She followed that a short while later by saying:

Appreciate the love n support! Never my intention to offend at all! My show is #VivicasBlackMagic #UltimateGurlsNiteOut ENJOY your weekend?? t.co/HbNenY75Vn

When someone specifically sent her our article and asked for clarification on her comments, she replied:

Sure! As long as I’ve been a FRIEND n supporter of the LBGT community I’ve known them 2 have their OWN HOT exotic dancers 2 enjoy as well? t.co/HHtDgdGoNE

In other words: Our initial interpretation of her remarks was correct. She doesn’t want gay people there; however, she welcomes them to still tune into her TV show. Just don’t come to the actual live show in Vegas.

AGREED! If gay men or women want to watch #VivicasBlackMagic #UltimateGurlsNiteOut catch us every Wed 10pm @lifetimetv Enjoy your weekend ?? t.co/Lps3lX04Ps

We think we’ll pass. Thanks, though.
