Must-See LGBTQ TV: People's Choice Awards 2017 and more!

Grab the remote, set your DVR or queue up your streaming service of choice! GLAAD is bringing you the highlights in LGBTQ on TV this week. Check back every Sunday for up-to-date coverage in LGBTQ-inclusive programming on TV.

The People’s Choice Awards 2017 air on Wednesday. Ellen DeGeneres is nominated in Favorite Animated Movie Voice for Finding Dory, Favorite Daytime TV Host, and Favorite Comedic Collaboration. If she wins even one of those categories, she would become the most-decorated People’s Choice Awards winner in history. Deadpool picked up several nominations, including Best Movie.

LGBTQ-inclusive series Grey’s Anatomy and The Walking Dead picked up nominations in Favorite TV Show, while Jane the Virgin and Modern Family scored nods in Favorite Network TV Comedy. Empire, Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder, and Quantico are up for Favorite Network TV Drama, with Viola Davis nominated in Favorite Dramatic TV Actress for her portrayal of bisexual lawyer and professor Annalise Keating. Younger is nominated in Favorite Cable TV Comedy, with Pretty Little Liars and Queen Sugar nominated in Favorite Cable TV Drama. Jim Parsons is nominated in Favorite Comedic TV Actor. Power, Orange is the New Black, and House of Cards are nominated in Favorite Premium Drama Series. Shameless, The Mindy Project, Veep, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt picked up nominations in Favorite Premium Cable Comedy Series. Arrow, The Flash, Once Upon a Time, Orphan Black, Shadowhunters, Teen Wolf, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones are all nominated in Favorite Sci-fi/Fantasy Show on their respective platforms. The Voice is nominated in Favorite Competition TV Show, and The Chew and The Talk both picked up nominations in Favorite Daytime TV Hosting Team. Favorite New TV Drama nominees include Bull, Conviction, Designated Survivor, and This is Us, while American Housewife is nominated in Favorite New TV Comedy.

In music, Fifth Harmony is up for Favorite Group, and Sia is nominated in Favorite Pop Artist. Lady Gaga is nominated in Favorite Social Media Celebrity, and Tyler Oakley is up for Favorite YouTube Star. Kate McKinnon is nominated in Favorite Comedic Collaboration for her work on Saturday Night Live. People’s Choice Awards: Thursday, 9pm on CBS.
