Many well- known and respected comic book writers like Marc Andreyko, Matt Wagner, and Phil Jimenez teamed up with DC Entertainment and IDW Publishing to put together 100 stories in 144 pages that “mourn the victims, examine love and celebrate the LGBTQ community”. The comic book, Love is Love honors the victims of the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub during “La Noche Latina” that killed 49 people and injured 53 in June 2016.

By March of last year, Love is Love raised over $165,000 for the OneOrlando Fund which went to the victims and those affected.

Love is Love includes many realistic scenarios of children, teenagers, and adults and their struggles and perseverance with LGBTQ acceptance. This comic book also includes many fan-favorite comic book heroes like Batwoman, Batman, Poison Ivy, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn who all show their support for the LGBTQ community. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and Albus Dumbledore are also featured in Love is Love. All four are depicted creating a rainbow with their wands and the image is accompanied by a quote from Goblet of Fire that states “Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open.”
