HRC Volunteers on the Ground in Colorado
Last night, HRC volunteers turned out in Denver for One Colorado’s Birth Certificate Modernization Act Call Night.
We reached out to crucial legislative districts to ask them to contact their legislators in support of a ‘yes’ vote. The Birth Certificate Modernization Act will make it easier for transgender Coloradans to update the gender on their birth certificate. Transgender people whose birth certificates reflect their sex at birth – and not their current gender identity – risk being denied housing, employment opportunities, and the right to vote because of this discrepancy.
HRC is proud to support One Colorado in getting out the word about the impact of this important bill.
