VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN TO KEYNOTE HRC 2019 COLUMBUS DINNER ON SATURDAY: “Vice President Joe Biden is a strong and visible ally to the LGBTQ community in our fight for full federal equality,” said HRC President Chad Griffin (@ChadHGriffin). “His bold declaration supporting marriage equality helped change hearts and minds throughout America, and his work during the past two years as a leader of the Biden Foundation to advance LGBTQ rights at home and abroad is critical — particularly at a moment when the equality and dignity of this community are under attack across the globe.” Media interested in covering the event should request credentials by emailing [email protected]. Advance credentials are required. Read more from HRC, Cleveland.com and The Blade.

Boyertown Area School. “Again and again, federal courts have affirmed the right of students to use facilities that align with their gender identity, and this latest decision by the Supreme Court to reject an appeal to overturn Boyertown’s policy affirms that pattern of equality under the law for all students, regardless of gender identity,” said Robin Maril, HRC Associate Legal Director.
