A Moment To Dream

It had been far too long since I’d last wandered through Bournemouth’s Victorian arcade. I’d arranged to spend the evening with an old girlfriend who had recently moved down to the coast, and I’d arrived a little earlier than planned.
That gave me the perfect excuse to browse the jewellers’ windows, admiring far more than I could ever justify buying.
The arcade has a timeless elegance about it. Soft lighting, polished mosaic floors and beautifully dressed shop windows make it feel as though the pace of life belongs to another age. For a little while I was content simply to watch the world drift by, knowing there was no timetable beyond enjoying good company.
