Jeffree Star named one of YouTube’s top five earners in 2019
Forbes magazine has again placed Jeffree Star at number five on its list of the highest YouTube earners of the year. The makeup guru netted an estimated $17million in 2019. He has 16.8million subscribers to his channel.
Star also placed at number five last year, with a calculated income of $18million in 2018.
As well as generating money through advertising, he netted much of his worth through sales of his highly successful makeup range, Jeffree Star Cosmetics.
That said, 2019 hasn’t all been plain sailing. In April, the influencer revealed thieves had broken into a warehouse storing his makeup stock and made off with an estimated $2.5million of products.

The latest Forbes placing makes the gay vlogger and entrepreneur the most profitable makeup YouTuber in a top ten dominated by video game players and kids.
At number one on the list is eight-year-old Ryan Kaji of Ryan’s World, who has built a huge following with videos opening presents and playing with toys. For this, the youngster netted an estimated $26million in 2019. Kind of puts your holidays bonus into perspective, right?
Ryan was not the only child on the list. At number three is Anastasia ‘Nastya’ Radzinskaya. The Russian 5-year-old has cerebral palsy. Her parents started posting YouTube videos of her shortly after she was born to show her progress to friends and family, but they proved unexpectedly popular with the general public.
It’s believed her channel helped generate $18million in revenue for the family.
Other established names on the list include Markiplier (Mark Edward Fischbach) and PewDiePie (Felix Kjellberg) in joint seventh place (on $13million each).
Kjellberg recently announced he was going to take a break for a while due to exhaustion, so his 2020 figure could be lower.
Star, 34, began his career as a musician on MySpace, but launched his own cosmetics brand in 2014 and hasn’t looked back since.
In the summer he posted a video of himself surprising his boyfriend Nathan with a brand new Aston Martin. We have a feeling the holiday celebrations in the Star household will be lavish!

Putin Defends Trump After Impeachment by U.S. House
Russian President Vladimir Putin defended Donald Trump after the U.S. House of Representatives voted to impeach the U.S. president for just the third time in history, saying the allegations that Trump withheld U.S. military aid to extort Ukraine into investigating his politic rival “dreamt up.”
Said Putin: “I am not so sure his presidency is ending. This is an example of partisan infighting. The party who lost the election, [the Democrats], is using other methods to achieve their goals. They accused him of plotting with Russia, and when that turned out not to be true, they made up pressure on Ukraine. If you want to support Ukraine, give them money, but not at our expense.”
The Washington Post reports: “The House voted 230 to 197 to approve the article charging abuse of power, with the gavel falling about 8:30 p.m. On the obstruction of Congress vote, which followed soon after, the tally was 229 to 198. All Republicans voted against both articles. Among Democrats, two voted no on the first article and three on the second, with one — Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) — voting ‘present’ both times.”

The WaPo adds: “After Wednesday’s votes, Pelosi left open the possibility of delaying a procedural step that triggers a Senate trial, saying she might not name House impeachment managers and deliver the articles to the Senate unless Republicans there establish a “fair” process. In doing so, Pelosi was effectively attempting to gain leverage over the Senate’s process for weighing the charges against Trump.”
