Girl’s Comments About Her Mum In The Changing Room Are Hilariously Brutal

Girl’s Comments About Her Mum In The Changing Room Are Hilariously Brutal
A mum has shared the hilarious yet brutal exchange she had with her five-year-old daughter while she was trying clothes on in a changing room.

Mum-of-three Cassie Hilt, from the US, said she was in search of some new jeans on the shopping trip with her daughter.

Writing on Facebook on 5 November, the mum shared their exchange while she was trying the clothes on: “5yo: ‘Mum, do you need to take all your clothes off?’ Me: ‘No. Just my shirt and my pants’.

“5yo: ‘Oh my god, look at your boobs jiggling all over the place!’ Me: …”

Hilt continued: “5yo: ‘Look at your big tummy. It’s so cute and squishy. Do you have another baby in there?’ Me: …

“5yo: ‘Are you taking your underwear off too?’ Me: ‘No, just my jeans. You don’t take your underwear off when you’re trying on clothes’.

“5yo: ‘Ohhhh, because you don’t want your lady beard to show?’ Me: …

“To the young girls giggling in the fitting room next to us: Don’t worry, someday your kid will give a play-by-play of your post-baby body to strangers in a fitting room too.

“Have kids, they said. It will be fun, they said.”

Commenters found the exchange hilarious, with one writing: “Oh my goodness she is too funny” and another adding: “I have this to look forward to!”.

Speaking to HuffPost UK, Hilt said: “This isn’t the first time my daughter has made comments while I’m changing in the fitting rooms.

“Although I’m thinking this time her words may have served as a type of ‘birth control’ for the young girls that overheard the conversation.

“I mean, if you’re not ready for complete strangers to hear about your lady beard, are you really ready for kids? Haha.”

Gaia Pope: Two Arrested On Suspicion Of Murdering Missing Epileptic Teenager

Gaia Pope: Two Arrested On Suspicion Of Murdering Missing Epileptic Teenager
A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a teenager who has not been seen for nearly a week.

Dorset Police said a 19-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the disappearance of Gaia Pope.

The 19-year-old, from Langton Matravers, was staying at an address in Swanage when she disappeared on the afternoon of 7 November.

Searches took place at two addresses in Swanage and the man and woman were arrested. Police said they were both known to Gaia, who has severe epilepsy and went missing without her medication.

The last reported sighting of the teenager was at an address in Manor Gardens on Morrison Road at around 4pm on 7 November. She was said to be wearing a red checked shirt with white buttons, grey and white woven leggings and white trainers.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Devoto, who is leading the investigation, said: “It has been almost a week since Gaia’s last confirmed sighting and she has not been seen or heard from since.

“We have looked through CCTV that covers the Swanage area, including transport hubs, and there is nothing to suggest she has left the area.

“Her disappearance is completely out of character and, following our extensive inquiries, we sadly now believe that she may have come to harm. We have not yet found Gaia and our searches will continue.

“I would appeal to anyone who has information about her disappearance to please contact Dorset Police. Our specially-trained officers have updated Gaia’s family and are supporting them at this very difficult time.”

Search efforts will continue and have been ongoing since Tuesday in the Swanage area.

Investigations have also involved CCTV and house-to-house inquiries.

Tom Kerridge Reveals His Michelin-Starred Pub Is Inspired By Retro Restaurant Chain, Berni Inn

Tom Kerridge Reveals His Michelin-Starred Pub Is Inspired By Retro Restaurant Chain, Berni Inn

Tom Kerridge’s pub The Hand and Flowers might have won two Michelin stars, but it’s actually inspired by the retro pub-restaurant chain, Berni Inn.

For those now scratching their heads, the chain was founded by brothers Frank and Aldo Berni in 1955 and specialised in steak. The company was sold to Whitbread in the Nineties where the name was ditched and the restaurants were relaunched as part of the Beefeater chain.

Tom, 44, has fond memories of his childhood trips to his local Berni Inn. He reflects with Paul Ainsworth, who owns the Michelin-starred ‘Paul Ainsworth at Number 6’ in Padstow, about when his mum, who was a single parent, used to take him there and he’d have half a roast chicken with peas.

They would only visit around twice a year, but these meals clearly left an impression on Tom, who insists that his award-winning pub is a “modern day, more refined” version of Berni Inn.

The Hand and Flowers came from humble beginnings. Some 12 years ago, Tom set up shop with just one fridge, a six-ring hob, double fryer, a solid top and a grill.

“We won a Michelin star in 10 months,” he tells Paul, proudly. “So if anybody tells you, ‘I haven’t got the right equipment’ or ‘I haven’t got the right ovens’, it’s rubbish.”

Nowadays, Tom’s dishes are “produce-led, not overcomplicated and letting things speak for themselves”. But that’s not to say they aren’t fancy.

In the above episode of ‘The Chef’s Chefs’ he shows Paul how to make salt-baked swede haggis tart; tenderloin of Wiltshire pork with pickled cabbage, garlic sausage, malted cheek beignet and mustard mayo; and passionfruit and white chocolate bavarois with honeycomb and dark chocolate sorbet.

It’s no wonder that Paul describes the pub as a “game-changer”.

I think you’re world class,” Paul tells Tom. “I think everything you do is incredible.”
