Here's The Flat Butt Anthem You Didn't Know You Were Missing

Here's The Flat Butt Anthem You Didn't Know You Were Missing
Your anaconda don’t want none? Hey, comedian Jessica McKenna gets it.

It’s basically the best thing ever that artists like Nicki Minaj and Meghan Trainor are singing the praises of big butts, but if your booty doesn’t merit a “-licious,” don’t be too bummed: McKenna’s here with a hilarious flat butt anthem to make sure you don’t feel too left out.

Bottom line? Whatever your behind looks like, we’re sure you’re totally rocking it.

College That Slut Shamed Dustin Lance Black Paid Him $26,050 To Not Sue

College That Slut Shamed Dustin Lance Black Paid Him $26,050 To Not Sue

Dustin Lance BlackThe local community college that disinvited Tom Daley’s boyfriend from speaking at a commencement ceremony last year after discovering his sex tape online agreed to pay him $3,000 for the ordeal, as well as an additional $26,050 to not sue them.

Pasadena Community College eventually let DLB give their 2014 commencement speech when some great reporting by the school’s newspaper inspired the Oscar-winning screenwriter to publicly condemn the school for slut shaming him.

Details of the deal were never reported publicly until this week, when the LA Times discovered the settlement agreement in documents obtained through a Public Records Act request.

The school’s Academic Senate president Eduardo Cairo called the settlement money a “complete misuse of public funds,” adding the AC was “extremely disappointed to hear that has happened.”

DLB has refused to comment on the agreement and a spokesperson for the school told the Times “the issue with Mr. Black has been resolved, and the district has no further comment at this time.”

Add this $26,050 to the $100,000 judgement Black received against the person who originally posted his sex tape online back in 2008, and we’d call it a pretty profitable “mistake.”

North Carolina High School Cancels Play With Gay Scene for 'Sexually-Explicit Overtones'

North Carolina High School Cancels Play With Gay Scene for 'Sexually-Explicit Overtones'

53-5-K_a3jrgB8cRuJZfSKFAfSyyOKmo9eL7g5Ea0b0Though in 2010, it became the most widely-produced play among American High Schools, “Almost, Maine” has been cancelled due to opposition at a North Carolina high school, Maiden High School. The play is made up of nine vignettes about love, and one of the vignettes is about a gay couple

According to WSOC, “some parents and area churches complained”  about the play. The school then decided “Almost, Maine” was too controversial, cancelling it. In a statement on the decision, the school’s Principal Rob Bliss (pictured) cited “sexually-explicit overtones and multiple sexual innuendos that are not aligned with our mission and educational objectives.”

According to a Maiden student, Conner Baker, who spoke with ThinkProgress, the students had already paid for rights to produce the play — a cool $300. The show had already auditioned and was in rehearsals.

Court decision halts same-sex marriages as Alaska seeks higher court decision

Court decision halts same-sex marriages as Alaska seeks higher court decision
The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals issued a temporary stay halting same-sex marriage in Alaska Wednesday, a day after a lower court denied a similar request.

The two-page order granted a temporary stay in Sunday’s Hamby v. Parnell ruling until 11 a.m. Alaska time Friday, giving the state an opportunity to seek a stay from the U.S. Supreme Court.

The state said it would seek the higher court stay and enforce the stay at the 9th Circuit. Department of Law Spokeswoman Cori Mills said in an email “the state cannot issue any marriage licenses until the stay is lifted.”
