Gay marriages in Utah will not be recognized while state pursues appeals, Supreme Court rules
The Supreme Court issued a decision Friday that stops Utah from having to recognize more than 1,300 same-sex marriages. Utah filed an appeal last month challenging the legality of the same-sex marriages, which were granted between December 20 and January 6.
