Liberty University president and antigay activist Jerry Falwell Jr. swears that\u2019s not him<\/em> in photos taken at a 2014 circuit party in Miami Beach. But multiple sources, including the photographer at the party, beg to differ.<\/p>\n

The accusations were first made in the explosive expos\u00e9<\/a> published by Politico<\/em> this week. Investigative journalist Brandon Ambrosino reports:<\/p>\n

On July 19, 2014, popular Swedish DJ John Dahlb\u00e4ck performed at Wall, a nightclub in Miami Beach, Fla. That night, the club happened to have a photographer on-site to grab candid shots of the revelry. The photos were\u00a0shared online by World Red Eye<\/a>, an outlet that documents Miami\u2019s nightlife scene, and Jerry and Trey Falwell were visible in some of the pictures\u2014the outlet identified Trey by name.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Of course, a guy<\/a> going to a circuit party in Miami Beach normally wouldn\u2019t be that<\/em> big a deal\u2026 except that Liberty University has a strict policy<\/a> against this sort of behavior.<\/p>\n

The college prohibits alcohol consumption for all students, even those who are over the age of 21, living on or off campus.<\/p>\n

The official policy states:<\/p>\n

\n

Liberty University prohibits the possession, use, manufacture, or distribution of alcoholic beverages, tobacco, nicotine, illegal drugs, and non-prescribed controlled substances by its students, whether this occurs on or off campus. \u2026 Violations of this prohibition may result in disciplinary action, including a sanction of non-return or administrative withdrawal.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The college also discourages co-ed mingling, especially after sundown.<\/p>\n

The official policy states:<\/p>\n

All students are asked to display mature Christian behavior in social interaction. Proper respect must be shown to all individuals at all times. Harassment of any type will not be tolerated. Handholding is the only appropriate form of personal contact. Improper personal contact or other forms of public display are considered in poor taste. After dusk, students should not be alone with an individual of the opposite sex<\/a> in any unlighted area such as the ball fields, parking lots, parked cars, ravine or other wooded areas, etc. This is considered improper social behavior.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When asked by Ambrosino about the photos, Falwell denied ever going to the nightclub and said the pictures were photoshopped.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was no picture snapped of me at WALL nightclub or any other nightclub,\u201d he claimed. \u201cI\u2019m sure you already knew that though.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

\u201cIf you show me the picture, I can probably help you out. I think you are making some incorrect assumptions, or have been told false things or are seeing something that was photo-shopped.\u201d<\/p>\n

But sources tell a much different story. They say Falwell was \u201cangry\u201d when he learned the photos had been taken and even tried having them scrubbed from the internet.<\/p>\n

To remedy the situation, multiple Liberty staffers said Falwell went to John Gauger, whom they characterized as his \u201cIT guy<\/a>,\u201d and asked him to downgrade the photos\u2019 prominence on Google searches. Gauger did not respond to requests for comment.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Now, the photography agency that took the photos is also pushing back against Falwell\u2019s claims the images were doctored.<\/p>\n

World Red Eye has been documenting Miami\u2019s party scene for over 20 years. After being accused by Falwell of photoshopping the images, the company\u2019s founder, Seth Browarnik, put out a statement this morning that reads:<\/p>\n

For 21 years, I have maintained an impeccable reputation for documenting Miami Beach\u2019s storied social scene.<\/p>\n

We wholly reject Jerry Falwell Jr.\u2019s baseless allegation in yesterday\u2019s\u00a0Politico\u00a0report by Brandon Ambrosino that one of our pictures was \u201cphoto-shopped\u201d or manipulated in any fashion.<\/p>\n

We, in fact, did not know Politico\u2019s purpose for licensing the image and were as surprised as anyone to discover that Mr. Falwell was among the partygoers we photographed on\u00a0July 19, 2014 at WALL Lounge.<\/p>\n

As a result, we reviewed all the images we have from the event and discovered an additional four photos that include Mr. Falwell and two more of his son.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So now that Falwell has officially been caught in a lie, we can\u2019t help but wonder: What else might the evangelical leader be lying about?<\/p>\n

His \u201cclose friendship\u201d with the pool boy<\/a> perhaps?<\/p>\n

His \u201cbusiness mentorship\u201d to his personal trainer maybe?<\/p>\n

Oh, and what about those x-rated photos of himself that he swears absolutely do NOT <\/em>exist?<\/p>\n
