1)\u00a0<\/strong>Pose\u00a0<\/em>star Indya Moore <\/a>\"\"is set to star in a new family feature film by Netflix:\u00a0<\/a>Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>Based on the first book in the series by Joe Ballarini,\u00a0the film will follow first-time babysitter Kelly Ferguson, whose charge is kidnapped by the Boogeyman. She then discovers a secret society of fierce babysitters who protect children \u2014 and an entire world of monsters she will have to fight in order to save the child she’s looking after. The film will be directed by Rachel Talalay.<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Out creator Ryan Murphy has <\/a>\"\"released the next wave of plans for\u00a0his original content as part of his overall deal with Netflix<\/a>. New projects include a 10-episode A Chorus Line<\/em> miniseries, a limited series biopic about the designer Halston starring Ewan McGregor, a docu-series about Andy Warhol, and a docu-series called A Secret Love<\/em>, the story of a closeted lesbian<\/a> couple<\/a> who came out in their 80s.<\/p>\n

3)<\/strong> Netflix\u00a0announced this week that Grace & Frankie <\/em>is set to end after its seventh and final season<\/a>. Season 6 is set to premiere in January 2020. Meanwhile, Netflix has ordered a third season for Elite<\/em>.<\/a> Be sure to catch the Season 2 premiere today, September 6th; watch the official trailer below. In other TV news, a trailer was released this week for the upcoming sixteenth season of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

4)<\/strong> Lil Nas X released a video<\/a> for his newest single \u201cPanini.\u201d You can watch the video<\/a> from the out singer and rapper below. Additionally, out musician Leon Else has released the lyric video<\/a> to his new single \u201cEasy Love.\u201d Listen to the new song here<\/a>, and find it for purchase and streaming here<\/a>. 5)<\/strong> Miley Cyrus has dropped the video<\/a> for her new song “Slide Away” which she recently performed at the MTV VMAs, about her recent split from ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. 6)<\/strong> Out musician Adam Lambert released the music video<\/a> for his new single \u201cSuperpower\u201d this week. Also, pop sensation Kim Petras has joined out singer Max for a new version of the song \u201cLove Me Less.\u201d<\/a> You can listen to the track here<\/a>. In other collab news, bi<\/a> musician Tove Lo has released a new track, “Really Don’t Like U”, with pop icon Kylie Minogue<\/a>. Tove Lo’s new album, Sunshine Kitty<\/em>, will drop September 20.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

7)<\/strong>\u00a0In more music news,\u00a0out singer King Princess has released a new song called \u201cAin\u2019t Together.\u201d<\/a> You can listen to the song below, and catch her debut album Cheap Queen <\/em>due sometime this fall. Youtuber Kalen Allen has made a Beyonc\u00e9 tribute video<\/a> in honor of the singer\u2019s birthday on September 4th<\/sup>. Watch the out creator\u2019s recreation of Queen Bey\u2019s iconic moments here<\/a>. Young M.A\u00a0has also dropped a new video<\/a> for “PettyWap 2,” the follow up to her hit 2018 track “PettyWap.” Check out the video here<\/a>, her new album Herstory in the Making<\/em> is out September 27.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

8)<\/strong> The all-women<\/a> country group The Highwomen\u2019s self-titled debut album is out today. 9)<\/strong> In other album release news, queer pop girl<\/a>-group MUNA\u2019s sophomore album Saves the World <\/em>is out today; watch the video<\/a> to their latest single \u201cStayaway\u201d below. Post Malone\u2019s newest album Hollywood\u2019s Bleeding<\/em>, also out today, features a song with an appearance by out singer Halsey called \u201cDie for Me.\u201d<\/p>\n

10)<\/strong> To celebrate Freddie Mercury’s birthday on Sept. 5th, Universal Music Group has created an animated music video<\/a> to his 1985 solo song, “Love Me Like There’s No Tomorrow.” While it’s not explicitly about Mercury, the video<\/a> does explore the themes of his work and real-life struggle with HIV and AIDS through the lense of two white blood cells, depicted as gay<\/a> lovers. The\u00a0tribute comes from Esteban Bravo and Beth David, who also directed the short film “In A Heartbeat<\/a>,” which was given a Special Recognition Award at the 29th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

11)<\/strong> Two novels\"\" centered \"\"around queer women<\/a> were released this week. The first, Cantoras: A Novel<\/em> by Carolina De Robertis, follows the lives of five women<\/a> over 35 years set against the backdrop of the 1970s Uruguayan dictatorship. The second, The Secrets We Kept: A Novel<\/em> by Lara Prescott, is an espionage tale set in the late 50s focusing on the storied publication of Doctor Zhivago<\/em>, and the two female<\/a> spies swept up in a clandestine affair of their own. 12)<\/b>\u00a0The finalists for the E! People\u2019s Choice Awards 2019 have been announced<\/a>, and include a number of LGBTQ entertainers and LGBTQ-inclusive media. Riverdale, Stranger Things, Modern Family, Orange is the New Black, The Umbrella Academy, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, <\/em>and RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race <\/em>were among the television shows nominated for awards. Queer Eye <\/em>is up for Reality Show, while two of its stars, Jonathan Van Ness and Antoni Porowski, are nominated for Reality Star. Van Ness\u2019 podcast Getting Curious <\/em>is also up for Pop Podcast. Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory<\/em> is nominated for Comedy TV Star, while Wanda Sykes\u2019 Netflix special Not Normal <\/em>is up for Comedy Act. Bisexual women<\/a> Tessa Thompson and Lady Gaga are both nominated for awards, as are Halsey and Miley Cyrus. Lil Nas X has nominations in two different musical categories, while Panic! At the Disco and Sam Smith also grabbed noms for their work this year. Finally, Megan Rapinoe from the World Cup-winning U.S. Women\u2019s soccer team was nominated as the Game Changer of 2019 for her work on equal pay. 13)<\/strong> Kevin J. Nguyen is a Vietnamese American writer, producer, and director who makes videos<\/a> that feature stories from marginalized voices and are about social justice. Blue Suit <\/em>is his newest film, in which John and Henry, two gay<\/a> Asian American friends living in LA, grapple with romantic feelings and their own relationship.
