Largely absent from the group, however, was a fairly large demographic of straight people: women<\/a>.<\/p>\n

To that point, US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had an astute observation.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor men<\/a> who are allegedly so \u2018proud\u2019 of being straight,\u201d she wrote on Twitter, \u201cthey seem to show real incompetence at attracting women<\/a> to their event.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSeems more like a \u2018I-Struggle-With-Masculinity\u2019 parade to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added:<\/p>\n

\u201cHope they grow enough over the next year to support \/ join LGBTQ fam next Pride!\u201d<\/p>\n

We won\u2019t hold our breath on that.<\/p>\n

Her tweet struck a chord. It was shared over 26K times and liked by 150K+:<\/p>\n
