\u201cPost after post here and on gay<\/a> meme pages\/songs\/etc all I hear is fantasies about hooking up with straight guys<\/a>,\u201d he wrote<\/a>. \u201cMy gay<\/a> friends IRL always talk about hooking up with straight guys<\/a> as the holy grail, and straight-acting bisexual<\/a> guys<\/a> as the next best thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAm I the only one who isn\u2019t turned on by this at all?\u201d he asked his fellow r\/askgaybros Reddit users. \u201cI can\u2019t imagine being with a guy<\/a> like this. One user responded: \u201cI always say, you can be attracted to a straight guy<\/a>. Because he\u2019s a guy<\/a>. But if him being straight is what\u2019s attracting you, just don\u2019t. Never saw the attraction honestly. Is it because it\u2019s supposedly not their( the straight guy<\/a>) thing but they let them?\u201d<\/p>\n

Another Redditor offered a theory: \u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s, \u2018Wow, I want to f*ck around with someone who has no interest in me and can\u2019t get it up\u2019 but rather the extremely unlikely fantasy of \u2018He will take one look at my incredible manliness, realize what he\u2019s been missing all his life, and turn into the most insane cock<\/a> worshipper ever.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The conversation also touched a nerve for a Reddit user who pointed out the femmephobia in the gay<\/a> population. \u201cI think part of what isn\u2019t clicking for you is because you\u2019re a masculine top dude,\u201d he told the original poster. \u201cLike you said, you are looking for someone who will be wholeheartedly attracted to your masculine manly qualities, which gay<\/a> men<\/a> can happily fulfill for you.\u201d<\/p>\n
