Formerly Bisexual Boy Band Star Duncan James Reveals New Boyfriend, Says He\u2019s \u2018Proud 2 Be Gay\u2019<\/b><\/p>\n

Duncan James, who rose to fame in the early \u201900s in the British boy<\/a> band Blue and came out as bisexual in 2009<\/a>, shared a photo with his new boyfriend Rodrigo Reis on Instagram over the weekend and said he\u2019s now \u201chappy in [his] skin\u201d and \u201cproud 2 be gay<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

James made the statement after posting a photo cuddling with his boyfriend on Instagram and receiving an enthusiastic response from followers.<\/p>\n

Wrote James on Twitter: \u201cI posted this pic on my Insta yesterday & couldn\u2019t get over the amazing response, comments and love from people. In 2014, five years after coming out as bisexual<\/a>, James clarified that he calls himself gay<\/a> but he could still \u201ceasily sleep with a woman<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Said James in the interview<\/a>: \u201cI think to myself, I sleep with men<\/a>, so that makes me gay<\/a>. Regardless of whether I sleep with women<\/a> or not, I\u2019m still sleeping with men<\/a> so I\u2019m gay<\/a>. So I\u2019m still attracted to women<\/a>, I could still easily sleep with a woman<\/a>. I haven\u2019t in the last couple<\/a> of years but I think if I meet a girl<\/a> I could still have a relationship with her. I could still be romantically and sexually attracted involved with a girl<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I still call<\/a> myself gay<\/a>,\u201d he added. \u201cI\u2019m a gay<\/a> guy<\/a>. I like men<\/a>, so that makes me gay<\/a>. Don\u2019t get me wrong, I think people can be bisexual<\/a>. When I came out as bisexual<\/a> at the time, it was just easier to use the word. I do say I\u2019m gay<\/a>, but I don\u2019t really care about labels. I don\u2019t really care if people want to call<\/a> me bisexual<\/a> or gay<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
