Daily Meditation: Soulmates<\/b>
\nWe all need help maintaining our personal spiritual practice. We hope that these daily meditations, prayers and mindful awareness exercises can be part of bringing spirituality alive in your life.<\/p>\n

Today’s meditation features a song by The Postal Service and covered by folk singer Iron & Wine<\/a>. The song is a ballad for love and perfect connection, which so many strive to find in their lifetime.<\/p>\n

Such Great Heights<\/strong><\/big><\/p>\n

I am thinking it’s a sign
\nThat the freckles in our eyes
\nAre mirror images and when we kiss
\nThey’re perfectly aligned<\/p>\n

And I have to speculate
\nThat God himself did make us
\nInto corresponding shapes
\nLike puzzle pieces from the clay<\/p>\n

And true it may seem like a stretch
\nBut it’s thoughts like this that catch
\nMy troubled head when you’re away
\nWhen I am missing you to death<\/p>\n

When you are out there on the road
\nFor several weeks of shows
\nAnd when you scan the radio
\nI hope this song will guide you home<\/p>\n

They will see us waving from such great heights
\nCome down now, they’ll say
\nBut everything looks perfect from far away
\nCome down now but we’ll stay<\/p>\n

I’ve tried my best to leave
\nThis all on your machine
\nBut the persistent beat
\nIt sounded thin upon listening<\/p>\n

And that frankly will not fly
\nYou’ll hear the shrillest highs
\nAnd lowest lows with the windows down
\nWhen this is guiding you home<\/p>\n

They will see us waving from such great heights
