Wealthy Democratic donor and meth user Ed Buck accused of 2 new ghastly charges<\/b><\/p>\n

Ed Buck<\/a>, the 63-year-old Democratic political donor infamous for helping young black men<\/a> overdose on meth in his West Hollywood home, is now accused of blackmail and human trafficking, recent court documents reveal.<\/p>\n

The Daily Beast<\/em> reports<\/a> that LaTisha Nixon, mother of Gemmel Moore, \u201ca 26-year-old black man<\/a> who died in Buck\u2019s West Hollywood apartment on July 27, 2017,\u201d has added two new charges to the 12-counts in the wrongful death suit<\/a> she filed against Buck: \u201chuman trafficking and distribution of private sexually explicit materials\u201d (that is, images of her son).<\/p>\n

Nixon claims that because Buck helped transport her son from his Texas home to Buck\u2019s Los Angeles pad for \u201ccommercial sex<\/a> acts,\u201d he\u2019s basically a human trafficker. She\u2019s also claiming that \u201cBuck violated Moore\u2019s right to privacy by distributing a sexually explicit video<\/a> recording of him to one of several unnamed defendants in April of 2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nixon\u2019s lawyers came up with the second charge after interviewing about a dozen other young black men<\/a> who claimed that Buck had distributed explicit photos and videos<\/a> of Moore and other unnamed individuals over the years.<\/p>\n

The suit also accuses L.A. County District Attorney Jackie Lacey and Deputy District Attorney Craig Hum of racial discrimination for failing to prosecute a criminal case against Buck after Moore\u2019s death, thereby \u201crefusing to impartially prosecute white people for their felonious criminal acts against black victims.\u201d\u00a0 Lacey has denied the accusations.<\/p>\n

However, local activist Jasmyne Cannick says other young black men<\/a> who did drugs with Buck would attempt to file police reports at the Sheriff\u2019s Department, only to be turned away. Both Moore and Dean\u2019s deaths were ruled as \u201caccidental overdoses\u201d by the police.<\/p>\n

Buck came under scrutiny after Moore\u2019s death and the death of a 55-year-old man named Timothy Dean<\/a> under similar circumstances. Other men<\/a> claimed that Buck would cruise WeHo looking for young black men<\/a> and offering them money to take large amounts of meth \u2014Buck would allegedly watch and take photos while getting turned on.<\/p>\n

When police investigated Buck\u2019s home, they reportedly found no drugs or paraphernalia, and yet The Daily Beast<\/em> says that Moore\u2019s body was found next to \u201cmultiple syringes with brown residue, a scale, several lighters and torches, a straw with white residue and burn marks, plastic bags with whiter powdery residue and a clear plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance.\u201d<\/p>\n
