The Air Force says it is investigating an airman who posted a series of videos<\/a> of himself calling gay<\/a> people \u201ccockroaches,\u201d \u201cpedophiles,\u201d \u201csodomites,\u201d and \u201cvermin scum,\u201d among other antigay slurs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe sodomites, the homos, they do all their filthy acts in the dark of night where no one can see them,\u201d the airman, who has not been identified but who was wearing his uniform in the videos<\/a>, said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you get these perverts on their own, they flee like cockroaches, like the roaches they are, the vermin scum, the pedophiles that they are.\u201d<\/p>\n

The airman posted the videos<\/a> to YouTube under the username \u201cBaptist Dave 1611\u201d last week before taking them down a few days later.<\/p>\n

In one of them, he voiced his support for Grayson Fritts, the cop\/Baptist preacher from Knoxville, Tennessee who was caught earlier this month advocating for police to kill gay people<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

In that video<\/a>, the airman claimed most Christians agree with Fritts, but are too afraid to say anything for fear of the \u201chomo mafia.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

In another video<\/a>, he attacked parents who bring their children to \u201cdrag queen story hour\u201d events at public libraries, accusing them of child abuse.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re making your son, for example, dress up as a woman<\/a> and go dance at a sodomite bar, that\u2019s hip, that\u2019s cool, that\u2019s trendy,\u201d the airman said. \u201cBut if you just believe the Bible, and you take your kid to church, that\u2019s child abuse, right?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Air Force spokesperson Ann Stefanek issued a statement confirming the situation is being reviewed by the airman\u2019s command team.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThe Air Force considers diversity to be one of our greatest assets; therefore, every airman is expected to treat each other with dignity and respect,\u201d said Stefanek. \u201cWe do not tolerate behavior that is contrary to those values.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Meanwhile, the Modern Military Association of America, a non-profit that advocates for LGBTQ service members and veterans, issued a statement calling the videos<\/a> \u201calarming\u201d and \u201cdangerous\u201d and demanding the Air Force hold him fully accountable for his actions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis alarming call<\/a> for the execution of LGBTQ people by a service member in uniform no doubt adds fuel to the fire of those who wish us harm,\u201d said MMAA Executive Director Andy Blevins.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat this airman did is blatantly illegal under the [Uniform Code of Military Justice], and he has disrespected his uniform, the United States Air Force, and the military as a whole.\u201d<\/p>\n

Blevins continued, \u201cThe dangerous message this hate speech sends to those he serves with, including service members who may be LGBTQ, is completely unacceptable and could have severe consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n
