One Redditor says he\u2019s \u201cin a pickle\u201d now that the wife of his longtime friend-with-benefits has asked him to quit getting down and dirty with her husband.<\/p>\n

The Redditor explains that he\u2019s been hooking up with his best friend for around 12 years, and it all started when his friend complained that his wife wouldn\u2019t entertain the idea of giving up oral sex<\/a>. \u201cAs any good, gay<\/a> friend would do, I offered to step in,\u201d the Redditor writes. \u201cSelfishly, of course. My friend is attractive, fit, and we\u2019ve been workout buddies for as long as we\u2019ve been friends. Our bodies were not mysteries to one another, but we\u2019ve never connected sexually\u2026 until I made him a proposition.\u201d<\/p>\n

These days, the duo meets for sex<\/a> about three times a month, but the friend has always insisted that he\u2019s \u201cvery discreet\u201d and she \u201cwould never find out.\u201d Not discreet enough, however, as this Reddit user found out about one week ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cI received a letter from his wife asking me to stop having sex<\/a> with her husband. It was short and to the point,\u201d the Redditor writes. \u201cShe says she\u2019s suspected for years but had convinced herself her husband is totally straight. \u2026 Apparently, she got into his phone, and my friend had not deleted several sexually oriented text messages my friend and I had exchanged about meeting up. She says she won\u2019t confront her husband and doesn\u2019t want a divorce, she just wants the sex<\/a> to stop.\u201d<\/p>\n

So far, many of the comments of the thread<\/a> have ranged from tough love to tougher lover. \u201cCan\u2019t blame her for writing,\u201d one user writes. \u201cI think you should tell your friend about the letter and discuss what to do. If he wants to stay married and respects his wife, sacrifices must be made. But if not\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another user was a bit more brusque: \u201cYou willingly engaged him, knowing he had a commitment. It\u2019s all on you. Own what you\u2019ve done. I\u2019m reading a ton of excuses in your post. He\u2019s married. Don\u2019t be a sh*t. Get out or try to take him away. Understand that if you choose the latter, it\u2019ll probably get ugly. Grow up. Take the consequences if it\u2019s worth it, but also understand what type of man<\/a> you\u2019re dealing with. Gay\/straight\/bi<\/a> whatever is irrelevant. She\u2019s hurt, and she has no blame here.\u201d<\/p>\n

A third commenter, however, took issue with that user\u2019s last sentence \u201cbecause she\u2019s treated her husband quite badly. \u2026 While [the original poster] shouldn\u2019t have started a sexual relationship with his friend, and his friend shouldn\u2019t have been complicit in it, and I don\u2019t condone that at all, the friend must have felt quite sexually repressed. There\u2019s blame on both sides.\u201d<\/p>\n
