Rudy Giuliani Cancels Trip to Ukraine to Break the Law for Trump<\/b><\/p>\n

Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani canceled a planned trip to Ukraine<\/a> to collect information on investigations that could help Donald Trump win re-election after backlash.<\/p>\n

The NYT reports<\/a>: \u2018Mr. Giuliani, President Trump\u2019s personal lawyer, explained that he felt like he was being \u201cset up,\u201d and he blamed Democrats for trying to \u201cspin\u201d the trip. \u201cThey say I was meddling in the election \u2014 ridiculous \u2014 but that\u2019s their spin,\u201d he said.\u2019<\/p>\n

Giuliani told the NYT earlier this week<\/a>: \u201cWe\u2019re not meddling in an election, we\u2019re meddling in an investigation, which we have a right to do. \u2026 There\u2019s nothing illegal about it. Somebody could say it\u2019s improper. And this isn\u2019t foreign policy \u2014 I\u2019m asking them to do an investigation that they\u2019re doing already and that other people are telling them to stop. And I\u2019m going to give them reasons why they shouldn\u2019t stop it because that information will be very, very helpful to my client, and may turn out to be helpful to my government.\u201d<\/p>\n

Giuliani was slammed by pundits after the cancellation, which he announced on FOX News.<\/p>\n

Said MSNBC host Donny Deutsch<\/a>: \u201cHe\u2019s become such a despicable figure, such a tragic old man<\/a> doing anything to stay relevant. What a disappointing, sad, little old man<\/a> that has taken on such a dastardly, evil, twisted manner that he would display this in the last 24 hours, which was probably just a publicity stunt in the first place. Out of all the president\u2019s men<\/a>, of all these swamp things, Rudy Giuliani stands out to me as the lowest of the low.\u201d<\/p>\n
