Late Friday Donald Trump tweeted out an altered video<\/a> of Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) at a March event for the Muslim civil rights organization Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).<\/p>\n

Said Omar in that speech: \u201cFar too long we have lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen, and frankly, I\u2019m tired of it, and every single Muslim in this country should be tired of it\u2026CAIR was founded after 9\/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s tweet was preceded by outrage over the marks on right-wing media. On FOX & Friends, Brian Kilmeade wondered aloud if the Somali-American congresswoman is \u201can American first.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kilmeade later backtracked: \u201cI didn\u2019t intend to question whether Rep. Omar is an American \u2013 I am questioning how any American, let alone a United States Congresswoman, could downplay the 9\/11 attacks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ilhan Omar responded to Kilmeade\u2019s charge.<\/p>\n
