Barbra Streisand is taking heat for remarks about Michael Jackson and the new documentary Leaving Neverland<\/em>, which details allegations of sexual abuse of children by the late King of Pop.<\/p>\n

Asked about the doc, Streisand told the <\/a>Times<\/a><\/em> of London<\/a>: \u201cIt\u2019s a combination of feelings. I feel bad for the children. I feel bad for him. I blame, I guess, the parents, who would allow their children to sleep with him. Why would Michael need these little children dressed like him and in the shows and the dancing and the hats?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHis sexual needs were his sexual needs,\u201d she added. \u201cComing from whatever childhood he has or whatever DNA he has.\u201d<\/p>\n

Streisand continued: \u201cYou can say \u2018molested,\u2019 but those children, as you heard them say [the grown-up Robson and Safechuk], they were thrilled to be there. They both married and they both have children, so it didn\u2019t kill them.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for her broader thoughts on the #MeToo movement: \u201cUnfortunately, it\u2019s going to cause a lot of women<\/a> not being hired because men<\/a> are worried they\u2019ll be attacked.\u201d<\/p>\n

Needless to say, Streisand\u2019s remarks are not being received well on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n
