Bob Einstein, who played Jerry Funkhouser on\u00a0HBO\u2019s Curb Your Enthusiasm<\/em> since its beginnings, died today in Indian Wells, CA reported Deadline<\/em>.<\/p>\n

He was 76 and recently had been diagnosed with cancer.<\/p>\n

The two-time Emmy winner also created the wacky Super Dave Osborne character.<\/p>\n

Last year his character on Curb<\/em> introduced Larry to his trans<\/a> son Joey (who had formerly been introduced as his daughter Jodi).<\/p>\n

Rabbi: I\u2019d like to bring forward Kenny\u2019s uncle, Martin Funkhouser, who would like to say a few words.<\/em><\/p>\n

Larry: Great.<\/em><\/p>\n

Rabbi: Martin, please?<\/em><\/p>\n

Larry: Oh, sorry.<\/em><\/p>\n

Jerry:\u00a0I would like to take a moment to acknowledge my former beautiful daughter Jodi, who\u2019s now my handsome son Joey. \u2013 I love you, Joey. Thank you. I love you.
