Log Cabin Republicans Leader Characterizes Trump\u2019s Attacks on the LGBTQ Community as \u2018Hiccups\u2019<\/b><\/p>\n

Jerri Ann Henry, new executive director\u00a0of the Log Cabin Republicans, characterized Trump\u2019s attacks on the LGBTQ community as \u201chiccups.\u201d<\/p>\n

Said Henry on Hill TV\u2019s The Rising<\/em><\/a>: \u201cI think there\u2019s a lot of ups and downs in the last two years with some of the administration\u2019s actions.\u00a0He has been more vocally supportive than any Republican candidate or president, but there have been a few things that I haven\u2019t loved that the administration has done, and some things that I think we can do some work on\u2026He has been more vocally supportive than any Republican candidate or president, but there have been a few things that I haven\u2019t loved that the administration has done, and some things that I think we can do some work on.\u00a0I want to make sure that we have the opportunity to improve on those things, not just fight over them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Added Henry:\u00a0\u201cSome of the issues where we can make major improvements are just the nuances. You know, marriage has only been legal for a short time, and we\u2019ve seen a few hiccups here and there how that\u2019s been rolled out with the military, with the State Department, visas, and how they handle married LGBT partners and non-married LGBT partners for diplomats. That\u2019s something we need a lot of work on.\u201d<\/p>\n
