Sundance Film Festival announces LGBTQ-inclusive 2019 lineup<\/b><\/p>\n

The Sundance Film Festival announced their 2019 feature film lineup on Wednesday, and once again, many LGBTQ-inclusive titles are amongst the\u00a0accepted entries. The festival, which has long championed many of the most diverse voices in independent film, will be held in Park City, Salt Lake City, and at Sundance Mountain resort from January 24 \u2013February 3, 2019.<\/p>\n

The festival has a strong history of supporting LGBTQ films and filmmakers with recent films and documentaries such as The Miseducation of Cameron Post, Hearts Beat Loud, A Kid Like Jake, Believer, Call Me by Your Name, Other People, Pariah, Bayard and Me, Kiki, <\/em>and many more.<\/p>\n

This year, 45 of the 112 feature films announced (40%) were directed by one or more women<\/a>; and 40 (36%) were directed by one or more filmmaker of color. Additionally, 15 films (13%) were directed by one or more people who identify as LGBTQIA.\u00a0Queer and trans<\/a> talent, including Kiersey Clemons, Leo Sheng, Alia Shawkat, and Jim Parsons, are also featured in films on this year\u2019s lineup.<\/p>\n

Below are many of the LGBTQ-inclusive films that will be featured at the Sundance Film Festival in 2019.
