Rich Scherr, a sportswriter for the\u00a0Baltimore Sun<\/em>, posted a video of the audience reacting<\/a> to the outburst to his Facebook page.<\/p>\n The Baltimore Sun<\/em>\u00a0reported<\/a>: \u2018Immediately after that, \u201cPeople started running,\u201d Scherr said. \u201cI\u2019ll be honest, I was waiting to hear a gunshot. I thought, \u2018Here we go.\u2019 \u201d The man<\/a> was escorted out a few minutes later and the show continued. But Scherr, 49, said it was hard to focus on the play after that. \u201cMy heart was just racing. I didn\u2019t even really pay attention to the second act.\u201d \u201cFiddler\u201d tells the story of a Jewish family as it faces persecution in tsarist Russia. It\u2019s based on \u201cTevye the Dairyman,\u201d a fictional story originally written in Yiddish. The play opened Tuesday and runs through Sunday in Baltimore.\u2019<\/p>\n While Derlunas\u2019s rant was seen as pro-Trump, he tells local media that he\u2019s actually anti-Trump.<\/p>\n Said Derlunas, who wouldn\u2019t show his face, to WBAL<\/a>: \u201cI just want everybody to know I am sincerely sorry.\u00a0I\u2019m so embarrassed and ashamed and disgusted with myself. I didn\u2019t think at the time about my frustrations with President Trump and I was trying to compare Trump to Hitler because he plays into the fears of people and it just came out wrong\u2026I opened my mouth and it was so wrong, and I know that now. In the moment, it was just my frustration. I don\u2019t know what I was thinking. I am so ashamed.
