The week culminates on November 20 with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrc.org\/campaigns\/transgender-day-remembrance\">Transgender Day of Remembrance<\/a>, an annual observance honoring the victims of the fatal epidemic of anti-transgender violence that disproportionately targets <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/offers.cam4tracking.com\/aff_c?offer_id=125&#38;aff_id=2778&#38;source=gfcsb\">trans<\/a> <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/www.flirt4free.com\/live\/girls\/?mp_code=akftr\">women<\/a> of color.<\/p>\n<p>To mark Trans Awareness Week, HRC\u2019s Transgender and Gender-Expansive Employee Resource Group has some important reminders to know about how to support the transgender community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. When you meet one transgender person\u2026 you\u2019ve only met one transgender person.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is not just one sweeping transgender experience. The term \u201ctransgender\u201d describes a collective community of individuals whose gender identities, expressions and\/or lived experiences differs from what is typically associated with the <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/www.flirt4free.com\/live\/girls\/couples\/?mp_code=akftr\">sex<\/a> they were assigned at birth. Trans people have different stories and narratives that make them who they are.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Everyone has different personal boundaries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Refrain from asking transgender people personal questions about their bodies, surgeries and other aspects about their transition process unless you have their consent to do so. And, just because a <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/offers.cam4tracking.com\/aff_c?offer_id=125&#38;aff_id=2778&#38;source=gfcsb\">trans<\/a> person might have talked with you about one personal topic doesn\u2019t mean they want to discuss everything. And, remember: Different people have different boundaries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Non-binary people can identify as transgender or cisgender &#8212; or neither &#8212; and that\u2019s OK.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Non-binary describes individuals who do not identify exclusively as <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/chaturbate.com\/in\/?tour=R2Xc&#38;campaign=hl4zp&#38;track=gfcsb\">men<\/a> or <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/www.flirt4free.com\/live\/girls\/?mp_code=akftr\">women<\/a>, or who do not identify as either at all. A non-binary person may also use the terms genderqueer, gender fluid, gender non-conforming or others to describe their gender identity. It\u2019s essential to always respect the terms that someone uses to describe themself.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. There is no \u201cright\u201d way to be <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/offers.cam4tracking.com\/aff_c?offer_id=125&#38;aff_id=2778&#38;source=gfcsb\">trans<\/a>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trans people are everywhere and as diverse as the fabric of our nation. They <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/chaturbate.com\/in\/?tour=grq0&#38;campaign=hl4zp&#38;track=gfcsb\">live<\/a> and work in every town, study at school, shop for the best deals at the mall &#8212; or hunt for the best avocados in the produce aisle at your grocery store. You can\u2019t tell if someone is <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/offers.cam4tracking.com\/aff_c?offer_id=125&#38;aff_id=2778&#38;source=gfcsb\">trans<\/a> just by looking at them, and there is no one, universal way that all <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/offers.cam4tracking.com\/aff_c?offer_id=125&#38;aff_id=2778&#38;source=gfcsb\">trans<\/a> people <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/chaturbate.com\/in\/?tour=grq0&#38;campaign=hl4zp&#38;track=gfcsb\">live<\/a> their truths. Not all <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/offers.cam4tracking.com\/aff_c?offer_id=125&#38;aff_id=2778&#38;source=gfcsb\">trans<\/a> people want surgery or hormones, and no one is more or less <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/offers.cam4tracking.com\/aff_c?offer_id=125&#38;aff_id=2778&#38;source=gfcsb\">trans<\/a> because of it.
