HRC\u2019s Bisexual, Queer, Fluid Pan-ifesto for Celebrating Bi Visibility<\/b>

To mark Bisexual Awareness Week, HRC\u2019s Bisexual, Queer, Pansexual and Fluid Employee Resource Group recommends some simple steps for honoring the bisexual<\/a> community all year long.<\/p>\n

Studies show<\/a> that as many as half of the lesbian<\/a>, gay<\/a>, bisexual<\/a> and queer population identify as bisexual<\/a> — making the bisexual<\/a> community the largest single group in the LGBTQ community.<\/p>\n

HRC uses the definition of bisexuality<\/a> given by longtime bisexual<\/a> leader Robyn Ochs<\/a> to explain the nuances of our community: A bisexual<\/a> person has the potential to be attracted — romantically and\/or sexually — to people of more than one sex<\/a> and\/or gender, not necessarily at the same time, not necessarily in the same way and not necessarily to the same degree.<\/p>\n

We are defining bisexual<\/a> community as including people who identify as pansexual, queer, fluid and other identities that reflect potential attraction to more than one gender.<\/p>\n
