GLAAD has officially announced that singer, author, radio DJ, and television personality Michelle Visage will\u00a0present<\/a> fellow RuPaul’s Drag Race panel judge, Ross Matthews, with the Davidson\/Valentini Award at the 2018 GLAAD Gala San Francisco<\/a> at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco on Saturday, September 15, 2018.<\/p>\n

The two have built a spowerful bond\u00a0over the years, serving together on the judges panel of the Emmy-nominated series RuPaul’s Drag Race<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Internationally renowned television personality, radio show host, platinum-selling recording artist, and now author,\u00a0Michelle Visage<\/a>\u00a0has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry, across multiple mediums for the past three decades. One of Visage’s most coveted ventures was her 2015 book, The Diva Rules: Ditch the Drama, Find Your Strength, and Sparkle Your Way to the Top<\/a> [Chronicle Books], in which she\u00a0shares her tips and helpful advice\u00a0for lliving a happy, fulfilling life.<\/p>\n

On the television front, Visage can be seen as a judge on the award winning and highest-rated television program on VH1 show, RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/a>,\u00a0alongside\u00a0RuPaul, Carson Kressley, and Ross Mathews. The reality competition show, which aired its tenth season on March 22, 2018, leaves fans wanting more each week with their quick wit, impeccable sense of style and signature sass, as they decide who will stay, lip-synch for their life or \u201cSashay Away.\u201d Visage joined the show, which boasts over a million viewers every week and airs internationally in countries like Australia, Canada and the UK, in 2011 during season 3. Visage also tours the country as part of\u00a0RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race tour.<\/p>\n

Additional television credits include, competing on the fifteenth season of \u201cCelebrity Big Brother\u201d in the United Kingdom in early 2015, where Visage came in fifth place. Visage has also appeared on VH1 in the late 1990s\/early 2000s, hosting live<\/a> coverage of red carpet events such as \u201cThe Grammys\u201d in 1998, the 25th anniversary re-release party of GREASE [Paramount] in 2002, and \u201cThe Viewer\u2019s Choice Awards.\u201d<\/p>\n

Visage has been a staple on morning radio for\u00a0two decades, hosting and co-hosting programs on various stations such as WKTU 103.5 [New York], KHHT\u2019s HOT 92.3 [Los Angeles], SUNNY 104.3 [West Palm Beach, FL], and 66 THE BEAT [Sirius XM], to name a few.<\/p>\n

On the music front, Visage rose to fame as a member of the all-girl<\/a> group Seduction in the early 1990s, with their platinum-selling album called \u201cNothing Matters Without Love,\u201d that spawned multiple hits that climbed the billboard charts. Visage was also featured on the bestselling soundtrack of all time [35 million copies sold], THE BODYGURARD [Warner Brothers Pictures], with her remake of\u00a0Bill Withers<\/a>\u2019 \u201cIt\u2019s Gonna Be A Lovely Day,\u201d that she wrote and sang. The song was immediately signed to Arista Records by Clive Davis himself.<\/p>\n

Visage currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and her two daughters.<\/p>\n
