SHAMEFUL — AG JEFF SESSIONS SAYS DOMESTIC AND GANG VIOLENCE ARE NOT GROUNDS FOR ASYLUM: <\/strong>Sessions\u2019 decision will have wide-reaching negative consequences for countless asylum-seekers looking for safe havens to escape deadly violence. In too many countries, gang violence is pervasive, and it disproportionately targets the LGBTQ community — especially transgender people. The Trump-Pence administration continues to recklessly put lives in jeopardy by blocking people in extreme danger from reaching safety in the U.S. HRC will continue to stand up against attacks on all communities by Trump-Pence and call<\/a> out the peril in which their shameful tactics place the international LGBTQ community.
