Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert Rip the WHCA for Throwing Michelle Wolf Under the Bus: WATCH<\/b>

Seth Meyers blasted the White House Correspondents\u2019 Association over its rush to disassociate itself from Michelle Wolf, the comedian it<\/em> hired to roast the White House, but first Meyers noted that Trump remembered his performance at the same event.<\/p>\n

Trump, in his criticism of Wolf, had taken the time to slam Meyers\u2019 \u201cweak performance\u201d when he had roasted Trump.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh good,\u201d said Meyers. \u201cIt\u2019s always nice when the Eye of Sauron is upon you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Said Meyers of Wolf: \u201cShe is filthy<\/em> and she is mean<\/em>, which is what we love<\/em> about her, because those are wonderful qualities for comedians and terrible<\/em> qualities for free world leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meyers noted that the WHCA put out a statement when they announced Wolf as the event\u2019s key speaker, noting, \u201cOur dinner honors the First Amendment and strong, independent Journalism. [Michelle\u2019s] embrace of these values and her truth-to-power style make her a great friend to the WHCA.\u201d<\/p>\n

But last night, the WHCA put out a statement denouncing Wolf, writing: \u201cLast night\u2019s program was meant to offer a unifying message about our common commitment to a vigorous and free press while honoring civility, great reporting and scholarship winners, not to divide people.\u00a0Unfortunately, the entertainer\u2019s monologue was not in the spirit of that mission.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gasped Meyers: \u201cYou hired her!\u2026.That\u2019s like a parent sending an email saying \u2018yesterday\u2019s birthday was meant to celebrate Kevin turning six years old. Unfortunately, the stripper\u2019s dance routine was not in the spirit of the party.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stephen Colbert also had some harsh words for the WHCA.<\/p>\n

Colbert said the WHCA \u201cput Wolf under the front of a bus\u201d and drove over her.<\/p>\n

Said Colbert: \u201cLook, you didn\u2019t like, you have that right. Don\u2019t invite her back again, but grow a pair<\/em>.\u00a0This was a roast! And you\u2019re the ones who hired Michelle Wolf!\u00a0Being mad at her for doing her job is like accusing the valet of briefly stealing your car.\u00a0And stop acting like you\u2019re surprised. I thought news people did research! But you\u2019re telling me you couldn\u2019t spend 90 seconds on YouTube to find out what her act was like?\u00a0As a great man<\/a> once said, \u2018Fake News.’\u201d<\/p>\n
