Duncan has a long ideologically-driven record seeking to undermine civil rights including\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/sblog.s3.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Virginia-Schaefer-petition-8-22-14.pdf\">fighting<\/a>\u00a0to undermine marriage equality and targeting transgender rights by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/viewerng\/viewer?url=http:\/\/files.eqcf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/34-Memo-iso-Berger_Moore-Motion-to-Intervene.pdf\">defending<\/a>\u00a0North Carolina\u2019s infamous anti-transgender law HB2 and serving as the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.scotusblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/16-273-pet-cert-reply.pdf\">opposing counsel<\/a>\u00a0in Gavin Grimm\u2019s case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe U.S Senate is standing idly by as President Trump fills multiple branches of the U.S. government with people like Kyle Duncan, whose ideologically-driven record displays that he is a direct threat to LGBTQ Americans,\u201d <strong>said Sarah Kate Ellis, President and CEO of GLAAD<\/strong>. \u201cVoters are watching and will not forgive Senators who allow President Trump to stack the courts with judges united in dismantling civil rights and rolling back our hard-fought progress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Throughout his career, Duncan has relied on the unscientific arguments of anti-LGBTQ hate groups in an attempt to undermine transgender rights, trying to delegitimize transgender identity by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/civilrights.org\/oppose-confirmation-stuart-kyle-duncan-u-s-court-appeals-fifth-circuit\/#_ftn13\">calling<\/a>\u00a0being transgender a \u201cdelusion\u201d and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.metroweekly.com\/2018\/03\/progressive-coalition-rallies-supreme-court-protest-trump-judicial-nominees\/\">advocating<\/a>\u00a0for parents not to support <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/offers.cam4tracking.com\/aff_c?offer_id=125&#38;aff_id=2778&#38;source=gfcsb\">trans<\/a> kids.
