<\/p>\nPolice Seek Three Assailants Seen Viciously Beating Gay Men in D.C. \u2013 VIDEO<\/b>

\ufeff<\/span><\/p>\n Police are seeking three assailants seen on video<\/a> beating two gay<\/a> men<\/a> early Sunday morning in what is being investigated as a homophobic hate crime.<\/p>\n Watch ABC7\u2019s report above.<\/p>\n The Washington Post<\/em> reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n Police said the victims were assaulted by three men<\/a> about 12:30\u00a0a.m. in the 2000 block of 10th Street NW, near the U Street Metro station.<\/p>\n The victims were hospitalized with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening \u2014 though little more was known about the attack. A D.C. police incident report was not ready for release Sunday afternoon, police said.<\/p>\n Authorities are investigating the attack as \u201cpotentially being motivated by hate or bias,\u201d the department said in a statement. The incident was categorized as an aggravated assault.<\/p>\n D.C. police released a video<\/a> of the attack: \u201cThe Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public\u2019s assistance in identifying three persons of interest in reference to an Aggravated Assault incident which occurred in the 2000 block of 10th Street, NW, on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at approximately 12:31 AM. The subjects were captured by a nearby camera<\/a>.
