<\/p>\nWhite House Denies Stormy Daniels Threat Claims as She Sues Trump Lawyer for Defamation<\/b>

The White House today denied claims by adult film star Stormy Daniels that she was threatened with physical harm if she ever spilled details about her affair with Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
Daniels made the claims in last night\u2019s 60 Minutes<\/em> interview<\/a> with Anderson Cooper.<\/p>\n Daniels said a man<\/a> approached her in a parking lot in Las Vegas when she was with her daughter, and said,\u00a0\u201cThat\u2019s a beautiful little girl<\/a>. It\u2019d be a shame if something happened to her mom.\u201d<\/p>\n Said\u00a0White House principal deputy press secretary Raj Shah: \u201cWith respect to that interview, I will say that the president strongly, clearly, and has consistently denied these underlying claims, and the only one who has been inconsistent is the one making the claims.\u201d<\/p>\n Said Shah: \u201cThe president doesn\u2019t believe that any of the claims that Miss Daniels made in the interview are accurate\u2026There\u2019s nothing to corroborate her claim.\u201d<\/p>\n Brent Blakely, a lawyer for Trump\u2019s lawyer Michael Cohen, also pushed back on Daniels\u2019 claims, demanding an apology:<\/p>\n \u201cIn truth, Mr. Cohen had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with any such person or incident, and does not even believe that any such person exists, or that such incident ever occurred,\u201d he said, asserting that Daniels and Avenatti should \u201ccease and desist from making any further false and defamatory statements about my client.\u201d<\/p>\n Daniels on Monday accused Cohen of defamation and added him to her case against Trump, the Washington Post<\/em> reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n Daniels amended her existing lawsuit against Trump, adding Cohen as a defendant in the pending case. The expansion of the lawsuit in a California federal court comes one day after the adult-film actress\u2019s\u00a0widely watched interview on \u201c60 Minutes.\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n \u2026Besides accusing Cohen of defamation, the amended complaint broadens Daniels\u2019s contention that the confidentiality agreement was illegal, because it lacked Trump\u2019s signature.
