Christopher Wylie, the Cambridge Analytica whistleblower who is providing the world a look inside the data mining firm which used Facebook user profiling to help the Trump campaign<\/a>, joined Don Lemon last night (above) to talk about his revelations.<\/p>\n Wylie said that Cambridge Analytica was testing Trump slogans, phrases, and imagery like \u201cdrain the swamp\u201d and \u201cdeep state\u201d and \u201cbuild that wall\u201d in 2014, well before Trump announced his run.<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of these narratives which at the time would have seemed crazy for a mainstream candidate to run on, those are the things that we were finding that there were pockets of Americans who this really appealed to. And Steve Bannon knew that, because we were doing the research on it. And I was surprised when I saw the Trump campaign talking about \u2018building the walls\u2019 and \u2018draining the swamp\u2019. \u2026You\u2019d have to ask the company and Steve Bannon where they got these narratives, but these were the things we were testing well before Trump announced.\u201d<\/p>\n Wylie also discussed a meeting between Cambridge Analytica and former Trump campaign manager Cory Lewandowski in 2015, when the firm had already been hired by Ted Cruz.<\/p>\n Mediaite adds<\/a>:<\/p>\n Earlier today, Channel 4 previewed an expos\u00e9 on the firm where they showed CEO\u00a0Alexander Nix<\/strong>\u00a0and other senior executives bragging about\u00a0using sex workers<\/a>\u00a0and other salacious methods to \u201centrap politicians in compromising situations.\u201d The firm\u00a0refuted the video in a statement<\/a>\u00a0insisting that Channel 4\u2019s piece is a deceptively-edited look at their process for weeding out \u201cany unethical or illegal intentions\u201d from potential clients.<\/p>\n Wiley was asked about this during his interview tonight with CNN\u2019s\u00a0Don Lemon<\/strong>, and he responded: \u201cI\u2019m probably the only gay<\/a> guy<\/a> in London that had a membership card to a strip club with women<\/a>.\u201d When Lemon asked him to elaborate, Wiley explained that he often visited strip clubs because the conversations on the tape showed \u201ca common technique\u201d the firm uses.<\/p>\n \u201cOne of the things that this company does is it will do whatever it takes to get a contract,\u201d Wiley said, \u201cand if that means entertaining a client at a strip club with women<\/a> stripping, they will do that.\u201d<\/p>\n Here\u2019s the\u00a0 full expose:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The post Don Lemon Talks to Cambridge Analytica Whistleblower About Ties to Trump Campaign: WATCH<\/a> appeared first on Towleroad<\/a>.<\/p>\n
