Adam Rippon sat down with Ellen DeGeneres today to talk about his experience at the Olympic games.<\/p>\n
Asked about his Bronze medal in figure skating and being told by Ellen that he deserved Gold, Rippon replied: \u201cI know I\u2019m my mother\u2019s favorite skater and the only thing I regret about the Olympics is that I feel like the judges didn\u2019t fully take that into consideration.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rippon also revealed his celebrity crushes: \u201cI feel like a really solid answer is Jake Gyllenhaal. I used to have a really big crush on Harry Styles\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat happened,\u201d asked Ellen.<\/p>\n
\u201cHere\u2019s the thing,\u201d Adam explained. \u201cI was sleeping on Shawn Mendes.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m sorry?\u201d, asked Ellen, who got what he was saying after a bit of clarification. \u201cSleeping like you had not paid attention<\/em>, I see\u2026So now Shawn Mendes has taken over from Harry Styles.<\/p>\n \u201cI know Harry will be upset,\u201d said Adam. \u201cLove is a funny thing.\u201d<\/p>\n Ellen said she\u2019d like to point him in the direction of some gay<\/a> men<\/a> who look like them.<\/p>\n Watch:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Later, Ellen asked Adam what he would say to Mike Pence if he had the chance to speak with him.<\/p>\n Replied Adam: \u201cI\u2019m an openly gay<\/a> man<\/a> competing at the Olympics and somebody who thinks that gay<\/a> people might be the societal collapse of our nation, I didn\u2019t feel that it was the right time. If I had the chance to have a call<\/a> with him now, I have nothing to say to Mike Pence. That\u2019s not a conversation for me. I think going to the Olympics it\u2019s given me a great platform to give a voice to people who feel like they don\u2019t have one. So if that call<\/a> were to happen I\u2019d say it\u2019s not for me, it\u2019s for those people who \u2013 their lives have been affected and changed by legislation that he\u2019s pushed \u2013 it\u2019s a chance for them to share their stories and their experiences \u2013 it\u2019s not for me.\u201d<\/p>\n Ellen asked what the Olympics has done for him.<\/p>\n He replied: \u201cI\u2019m still the same old hot mess I was 10 years ago.
