In December,\u00a0YouTuber Davey Wavey took his interest in sex<\/a> to new places on the web, launching a site called Himeros<\/a> (himeros.tv<\/a><\/span>\u00a0\u2013 work-unfriendly) where he hopes\u00a0to \u201cuse the vehicle of porn to teach gay<\/a> men<\/a> about sexual exploration, connection and ecstasy.\u201d<\/p>\n

This week he introduced a video<\/a> that is making quite a splash. It features 83-year-old Norm, \u201ca sacred intimate, advanced Tantrica, and minister of erotic education,\u201d making his porn debut in a scene<\/a> that also features Blake Mitchell and Joey Mills.<\/p>\n

Says Davey: \u201cI understand that most people aren\u2019t accustomed to seeing an 83 year old in an erotic film. Most of us aren\u2019t accustomed to thinking about our elders in a sexual context at all. It\u2019s why people laugh at Betty White\u2019s comedy. If she were 20 or 30, her sex<\/a> jokes wouldn\u2019t work in the same way; the humor is only funny coming from the mouth of a 96 year old. The implication is that seniors don\u2019t think about sex<\/a>, aren\u2019t sexy and surely aren\u2019t having sex<\/a>. Of course, none of that is true. Seniors, just like everyone else, think about sex<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

As a companion to the clip, Davey released a short video<\/a> interview with Norm, which features some of Norm\u2019s wisdom on aging:<\/p>\n

\u201cLife is a balance of listening reverently to people who have age and experience, but use your own age and experience to test, \u2018does that ring true in my heart?\u2019 So, if you\u2019re getting old enough to ask questions, then you\u2019re old enough to begin to trust yourself to be able to hear the answers when they come and to know whether the answers are truth or somebody\u2019s well-meaning but well-placed propaganda.\u201d<\/p>\n

And on sex<\/a>: \u201cThe French word for orgasm is \u2018le petit mort\u2019, the little death. I die<\/em> to this uptight and anxious being, and that is a metaphor or an analogy for that ultimate surrender into what is, the truth of what really is, and if we can get loose from moral a priori<\/em>\u00a0judgments, judgments before the fact, and get into testing it out and see \u2018does it work?\u2019, then we wouldn\u2019t have to worry about all the rules and regulations.\u201d<\/p>\n
