Glee<\/em> star Mark Salling has died of an apparent suicide at the age of 35, according to TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re told his body was found at the Los Angeles River in Sunland \u2026 the area where he lived.\u00a0 We do not yet know the manner of death.<\/p>\n

The former \u201cGlee\u201d star was awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography involving a pre-pubescent minor<\/a>. Prosecutors say he had 50,000 images of underage children.<\/p>\n

Salling was expected to face 4 to 7 years in prison as part of a plea deal,\u00a0pay $50,000 to each victim seeking restitution,\u00a0 and \u201cregister as a sex<\/a> offender and participate in counseling or psychiatric treatment,\u201d according to The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Salling played Puck on the Ryan Murphy hit\u00a0about the William McKinley High School\u00a0glee club called\u00a0the New Directions, from 2009 to 2015<\/p>\n
