Guest At Men-Only Presidents Club Dinner Said He Was Glad Daughter Wasn’t There, Waitress Claims<\/b>
\nHostesses at the controversial men<\/a>-only dinner held by the Presidents Club were considered \u201cplay things\u201d for men<\/a> to \u201cgawp at\u201d and touch,\u00a0a waitress has said.<\/p>\n

The woman<\/a>, aged in her 20s, claimed some of the women<\/a> who then went to an after-party were treated by a number of men<\/a> there as if they were sex<\/a> workers.<\/p>\n

Speaking anonymously to ITV News, she described how she had been made to feel very uncomfortable during the evening and was shocked by the behaviour of some of those in attendance.<\/p>\n

She told the broadcaster: \u201cI realised quite soon it was an odd job. It wasn\u2019t a usual job. And the way the men<\/a> behaved made me feel incredibly uncomfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked what the overall message appeared to be after the women<\/a> first entered the room at the event, she said: \u201cWe were play things. We were objects for them to gawp at, touch. To be laughed at.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said she believed some women<\/a> working there \u201cknew what it was about and it was a fun time for them to get drunk\u201d but added that many appeared uncomfortable and looked \u201cdeflated\u201d by the end of the night.<\/p>\n

She added that some men<\/a> she spoke to also seemed uneasy about what was going on.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cOne guy<\/a> said: \u2018Is this happening? I\u2019ve never been to this event before, it\u2019s really odd.\u2019 One guy<\/a> said: \u2018I wouldn\u2019t want my daughter to go through this.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\nAt an after-party she said some other girls<\/a> entered the room and \u201cacted more provocatively\u201d.<\/p>\n

Asked if she believed they may have been sex<\/a> workers she said:\u00a0\u201cYes. I was really wary of it and I was disgusted that was happening. I was worried about some of the girls<\/a> who were talking to men<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe men<\/a> were treating them like sex<\/a> workers. They were putting hands up skirts. Touching inappropriately. Some guys<\/a> kissing other girls<\/a>. It was uncomfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said she is pleased the club has announced it is to close, adding: \u201cI\u2019ve done events before where you just serve drinks and wait around. I didn\u2019t think it would be this seedy. We were paid to party and get as drunk as we could.\u201d
