BBC host Richie Anderson came out as gay<\/a> to his football teammates at the Coombs Wood FC in a segment that aired<\/a> on BBC\u2019s The One Show this week.<\/p>\n Said Anderson: \u201cMy teammates know I\u2019m making a film about grassroots football but have no idea what I\u2019m about to say.\u201d<\/p>\n Turned out there was no nervousness required and they received the news with open arms.<\/p>\n Said Anderson afterward: \u201cSo, so relieved. I can\u2019t even tell you.\u00a0I expected it as they\u2019re a good bunch of lads. It probably helped that I scored as well, but I\u2019m so relieved.\u00a0The main thing is, I hope there\u2019s people watching this that are in the same boat I was in, and they\u2019re thinking, \u2018You know what?
