We met the new cast<\/a> back in December and now the first trailer is here for the Netflix reboot of Queer Eye<\/em> \u2013 the \u201cstraight guy<\/a>\u201d portion of the title has been jettisoned.<\/p>\n \u201cThe original show was fighting for tolerance. Our fight is for acceptance,\u201d says the trailer (above).<\/p>\n The new cast below, left to right:\u00a0Bobby Berk<\/a>\u00a0(design)\u00a0Karamo Brown<\/a>\u00a0(culture),\u00a0Antoni Porowski<\/a>\u00a0(food and wine)\u00a0Jonathan Van Ness<\/a>\u00a0(grooming),\u00a0Tan France<\/a>\u00a0(fashion).<\/p>\n So what will be different this time around?<\/p>\n EW reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a new time with a new audience,\u201d series creator David Collins tells EW. \u201cIf the original round was about tolerance, this time it is about acceptance.\u201d<\/p>\n Which means audiences \u2014 but especially each episode\u2019s subject, or \u201chero\u201d as they\u2019re called \u2014 will learn more about the Fab 5\u2019s personal lives as they ditch the concrete jungle of New York City to take on straight guys<\/a> in red states. \u201cIn order to make the emotions bigger, you actually had to see how [the Fab 5] were reacting to being with a cop from the South who was a Trump supporter, [or] \u2018hillbilly Tom,\u2019 who refers to himself by saying \u2018you can\u2019t fix ugly,\u2019\u201d executive producer Rob Eric explains. \u201cThese guys<\/a> walked away\u00a0truly<\/em>\u00a0loving every single hero that they made over and talked about them for weeks afterward.
